This Government hates Auckland, Wellington, Trans, Disabled, Workers, Migrants, Renters and Environment while loving Corporations, Farmers, Mining, Banks and Big Polluters

As unemployment rises in Auckland and another wave of public sector cuts threatens Wellington, critics argue the Government is deepening division through culture war politics while aggressively advancing the interests of corporations, speculators and major donors.
Auckland unemployment is 6.6% and gutting another 8,700 public servants will decimate Wellington.
This Government hates Auckland and Wellington because they are city dwellers who don’t vote for them.
Culture war politics is becoming economic policy
This Government’s policy directions have hurt trans, the disabled, workers, migrants, renters and the environment because Β their culture war reactionary voters want to see those groups suffer rather than see any rise in quality of life.
This Government however love corporations, farmers, mining, banks, speculators, property pimps, billionaires, the donor class and big polluters.
Critics say the donor class still gets privileged access
They love themselves so much, look at how property pimps are welcomed into party by National…
WhangΔrei National candidate Lloyd Budd has the backing of Sir John Key and Paula Bennett
Former Prime Minister Sir John Key says the sooner Lloyd Budd gets to Parliament, the better.
Budd, the former CEO of Bayleys Realty Group, Auckland, was announced earlier this month as the National candidate for the WhangΔrei electorate. Should he win, he will replace retiring incumbent Dr Shane Reti.
NZME
…ugh.
The elite make the electorate squabble over identity politics while advancing their interests.

Important to get Dr. Gary Payinda, Labour candidate for Whangarei on The Bradbury Group. Gary is a great communicator, eloquent speaker and it would be entertaining watching Hooton’s spittle fly!
Having “the backing” of misery merchants like Key and Bennett is like being endorsed by Valak the Defiler.
Key gleefully raised GST after telling all and sundry he wasn’t going to raise taxes, wasted a fortune on a vanity flag referendum, and then decided that repeatedly tugging on a waitress’ ponytail was neither creepy nor weird.
Bennett was only too happy to release the private information of beneficiaries because she believed she had “implied consent”, and when rapped on the knuckles for it, smugly stated she’d do it again. Few people are as skilled or as efficient as “Paula the Westie” at benefiting from government policy, then depriving others of the same opportunities by pulling the ladder up after them.
Were I endorsed by either of these two wretched specimens, I’d lock myself in a cupboard out of shame.
This govt. not only hates AK and Wel etc. Luxon despises “poor” people. Is it because they make him feel guilty, embarrassed or superior – it makes me feel sick to the core? Yes many are the authors of their own demise but when workers’ wages are so out of touch as to be cruel, you know you have a major problem. Easy fix = lift the minimum wage significantly, while leaving the top salaries where they comfortably sit now, to enable workers to catch up with the market and ever increasing expenses. Hipkins/Left get your butts into gear and do it! Bring back affordable housing, a third budget supermarket chain, solar electrification, build a drone industry etc. and become a more self-sufficient country where everyone gets the chance to succeed, while NZ gets on the road to recovery. It won’t be easy but it can be done and will give us back dignity, purpose and HOPE. NZ can’t stay on this destructive, greedy path where all the spoils go to farming, mining, banking, speculators et al. Just do it!
“many are the authors of their own demise” You might want to neuroscience on that. The fact is most were born demised, and to this day socioeconomic class is the predictor of life outcomes, due to a host of structural and systemic reasons. You mention one yourself
The fact this guy is being endorsed by the Shyster and Bennett to stand for National should be a warning to everyone of repeating past mistakes of supporting these repulsive human beings.
Great, the beehive will have fresh flowers, and hundreds of meaningless fβing cushions everywhere. Thatβs real estate agent 101.
“I was the CEO of a real estate company in New Zealand”.
That’s shorthand for stating you lack intelligence and ambition and took the obvious and laziest route available.
All while doing and creating absolutely nothing of value.
Perfect for the National Party.
