Both Labour and National have come together, claiming comments aspiring NZ First MP Stuart Nash made against his opponent, young mum Katie Nimon, are “sexist” and that he’s channelling “the manosphere” in the way he thinks.
Even a member of Nash’s own party NZ First said they would ask him to “reconsider how he says things”.

Stuart Nash has confirmed he has resigned as a New Zealand First candidate, after backlash over his comments had become “a significant distraction”.
It comes after Nash accused National’s Napier MP Katie Nimon of being “lazy” for taking maternity leave. Nash is a former Labour MP and minister and has a string of controversies to his name.

I hope all the young mums and dads have registered to vote and follow through at the right time. Let’s hope they now finally realise, that none of the Grumpy Old Men (and Women) parties are there for the benefit of young parents and their families or young people in general.
They aren’t there for the benefit of women or children at school or sick people. In fact, 99% of the population ought to be voting in their own best interests, for a left leaning party.
