Labour announces party list for 2026 Election

The Labour Party has unveiled its 2026 party list – a diverse, experienced team ready to deliver for New Zealanders in the next election.
“New Zealanders are doing it tough and deserve a team that is on their side,” said Labour Party President Jill Day.
“The team we are putting forward today is focused on ensuring that working hard in New Zealand means getting ahead – that people can afford to live and build a future here at home.
“Our list is drawn from communities, regions and cultures across New Zealand. We’re combining seasoned MPs with fresh voices, and the team includes leaders in health, education, small business, community development and environmental protection.
“National promised to fix the economy and the cost of living. They’ve made both worse. This election is a choice; a government focused on itself, or a team focused on the people of New Zealand.
“Labour has a positive plan focused on what matters most: good jobs and opportunity; affordable healthcare; and homes everyone can afford to live in.
“We have already announced the first steps in our plan:
- Affordable healthcare – starting with three free doctor’s visits for every New Zealander.
- Making it easier to see a doctor – by supporting doctors to set up and expand practices in your community.
- Good jobs with better pay – investing in the industries and regions that create opportunity through the New Zealand Future Fund.
“This fantastic team will give New Zealanders real choice for the kind of country we want to live in,” Jill Day said.
