    The US Secretary Of War Pete Hegseth, uses the D-Day Commemorations to push the far right neo-nazi ‘Great Replacement Theory’
    “Sadly, today different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies,” Hegseth said
    “When will European capitals do something about that invasion, or is it too late? I pray not, and I believe not,” Hegseth added.
    The US Secretary of War Pete Heseth is treading a well worn path.
    Before World War 2 Poland was the country with the biggest Jewish population in Europe. The German Nazi Party rise to power began by attacks on Jewish polish immigrants to Germany. The same hatefull tropes the neo-nazis use today against Muslim immigrants, Hilter’s nazis used against Jewish immigrants.
    The greatest number of the death camps where the Holocaust was carried out were situated on Polish territory.

    Over the last decade, there has been a dangerous rise in lies and conspiracies about immigrants in the U.S. and around the world. Among the most pernicious is that there is an “invasion” of immigrants who are poised to change the demographic nature of the country. This lie, in combination with other dehumanizing comments that falsely blame immigrants for economic struggles and crime, is being used to stoke hatred and fear — with devastating consequences.
    One particularly harmful conspiracy theory, the Great Replacement Theory, alleges a plot to replace white populations of western countries with non-white immigrants. Once relegated to the darker corners of the internet, the Great Replacement Theory entered the mainstream in the late 2010s when it inspired mass shootings and the 2017 “Unite the Right” protest in Charlottesville, Virginia. Nine years later, the Great Replacement Theory is arguably more prevalent than ever in American politics — a hateful ideology espoused on some of the biggest political stages in the country….
