  1. I’ve often said, if they want is to pay overseas prices for food – they should maybe pay as overseas wages.

  2. Clearly we are past peak hospitality. If restaurant owners wish to charge $50 for a main course that’s up to them. Personally I won’t be paying it and Im sure many people feel the same. I expect to see the demise of restaurants continue as people continue to struggle to pay their basic household expenses. It’s a cruel circle.

  3. While fixing poverty is essential a bit of thinking outside the box would help feeding a family become cheaper especially if they have some time to put into food preparation. A plant based diet without the highly processed fake meat products is easy to do once a bit of knowledge about the process is acquired. Even those who don’t want to be fully plant based can cut out the expensive processed food and adapt their meals to use less meat as a way to reduce the cost. Everyone can cut the sugary drinks and other unnecessary snacks and live better although I don’t want to be miserable and deny people any treats in life .
