Auckland Anti-war Protest

The Auckland anti-war protest didn’t just happen in isolation — it’s part of a growing backlash to a war spiralling beyond control. As Trump escalates and Israel intensifies its assault on Iran, people here are starting to ask what silence makes us complicit in.
The anti-war movement in Auckland started with a strong protest outside the US Consulate.
When protest outnumbers propaganda
Pro-War Iranians who had threatened a counter protest were in far smaller numbers now the enormity of destruction Trump and Israel have visited upon Iran is apparent.
Sure, no one likes the Iranian theocracy, but making war crime promises and threats to destroy a 7,000-year civilisation doesn’t win hearts or minds (unless you are an Israeli).
Ricardo Menéndez March spoke passionately to the crowd, Phil Twyford was also excellent and I was once again genuinely impressed with Sandra Grey whose class dynamics have been missing from the NZCTU since the death of Helen Kelly.
Why this movement suddenly matters again
With fierce negotiations between Iran and America, Trump may feel forced to do something truly horrific so the anti-war movement now matters more than ever.
New Zealand has a proud history of Pasifika and antiwar protest, we need to remember that in these dark times.
Stand with us against the rage and horror of war.
Never forget, National, ACT and NZ First have enabled this.

What did being anti nuclear do for the country .It may have made a few people feel righteous but it did not help the economy which supports the 1st World education, health and welfare.
What would an in your face condemnation of Trump except pain and lose
