…rather than lifting pay and conditions, ACT want more slaves for farmers.
NZ is built upon a low wage economy.
When bosses say, ‘locals don’t want to work these jobs’, what they really mean is, ‘Locals won’t do back breaking work for a pittance’.
We are scratching our heads as to how we positively influence the Pacific as China encroaches, well how about actual wages for the workers we import and exploit under the RSE?
Talking to blokes inside the packing sheds in Ōpōtiki, they tell me locals are losing jobs and bosses are drafting in RSE workers instead.
The migration exploitation rules are garbage because NZ loves exploiting migrant labour!
We are addicted to it.
We say locals are too lazy for these jobs when really what we say is locals won’t allow themselves to be exploited as easily as migrant workers.
There is of course a solution here.
Universals Union membership for every migrant worker crossing the border.
That way domestic workers know they are not competing against exploited labour.
That way migrant labour can’t be exploited without the Union stepping in.
You can guess that won’t be the solution ACT want.
They want exploitable migrant labour and they want too lock that exploitation in.
Why trust someone as bad faith as Andrew Hoggard anywhere near this?
Hoggard gives off the vibe that he most certainly would have owned slaves pre the American Civil War.
The law of supply and demand says that when things are scarce the price increases. So maybe you should pay farmworkers more? Just a thought – a forlorn hope of course given that they are happy to import cheap labour from overseas. I once heard a farmer say about the Filipinos he employs – “they are great little workers”.
Now leaving aside the racism of the “little”–Of course they are you prick because one phone call from you and they’re off back home with no money.
Visited a 950 cow dairy farm in South Waikato recently. Six staff imported from India. Farmer reckoned no kiwis in the Waikato suitable for the jobs. FFS.
Yes common ,they will all be cramed into the two bedroom dog kennel earning fuck all and probably half are over stayers so are being paid under minimum wage .

What the fuck ? we have 200k unemployed and this fella wants to import more .Gone are the days of farmers and other employers training local people .We have 25% of under 25s unemployed and still they want more .Entry level farm workers are not highly skilled .
Back in the day when I first left school and went to work, on a town milk farm ,I was paid the going wage and was provided with acomadation and meals .Now days you get the same level of pay but get to live in a dog kennel and have to provide your own meals and pay for power and other stuff .Then you are taxed to live in the dog kennel at market rent .

What you highlight could also be called ‘means of control’. ” Entry level farm workers are not highly skilled”. Well, of course not. They’re entry level. Entry level anyone won’t, by definition, be skilled. But the kind of concern you raise is warranted.
Take a human being, for example, then remove their humanness. Then, you have a blank canvass to exploit. It’s in there, in the realm of the possibilities of exploitation, which is where lies the possibilities of fortunes being able to be sequestered. From the innocent and the eager. And therein lies the stink of corruption. Educate a scumbag beyond their morality and you have a craven fucker who would sell their kids for a dollar. And who could argue, that a child on the street born of a destitute victim is not the same child of their testicles or uterus in a broader sense? We are, after all, all children of the Sun.

No one hates dumbed down farmers more than I do. Their lazy stupidity is the undoing of our AO/NZ and their eager-to-please-their-abusers ignorance is embarrassing to say the least. Farmers, et al, are the very foundations of all that’s wrong with our AO/NZ and their determination to let their arrogance combined with basic levels of ignorance be their guide is now way beyond cringe worthy.
Andrew hoggard is hand picked to do what only someone like hoggard does best. To be as greedy, repugnant and arrogant as he can be so the general populace can righteously feel nothing but contempt for the source of their income and their sustenance.
Farmers? Yes you. Clearly, you’re neither needed nor wanted here. Your foods and money is not wanted nor needed. Your presence is cringe worthy and vomit inducing. I mean, just look at your representation? A lumbering Ox surrounded by Ox flies.
To avoid embarrassment I’d advise that you stay at home and in bed with the curtains drawn and dream of being of more use to AO/NZ and society in general by becoming a real estate agent, a lawyer, an accountant, a media personality, a blogger, a middle management middle person with middle of the road, road rage.
It must be remembered, with what few brain cells you have left given your breeding is that hoggard is the perfect example of a carefully designed Machiavellian tactic of deceit as presented in a bubble-headed moron now being used as target practice by those same few who’ve come to rely on free farmer money to use to polish the Bentley and pay Auckland’s whores and drug dealers.
Intelligent, aware farmers? Take at least a year off. No stress, no produce, no responsibilities, no expenses, no worries.
Is Luxon standing on a box? Hoggard looks scruffy again! And Seymour is trying to look serious but he’s still got that sick smirk. They are all so short-sighted they can’t see the probable end result. Our low paid ‘real workers’ will skip the country too and there will be fewer for our pseudo-rich to hire, to do their lawns, gardens, cleaning, serve in their businesses, serve them coffee, keep the supermarket shelves stocked etc. etc. Fun times are coming! They just can’t see past their noses now! Of course they won’t lift NZ workers’ pay. Wealthy NZ’ers just love this ‘master/slave’ set-up. Harsh lessons coming.
