If you are a migrant worker we are exploiting, you must speak English because how will you understand our Karens when they demand to speak to the manager, however, if you are a foreign rich prick buying a $5million mansion, you don’t have to speak any English at all because your money does the talking.

The $5 million mansion buyers who can’t speak English brigade do little for the economy. They usually buy the mansion and deposit the wife and kids to leach off our public services while they f*ck off back to their business at home. This is purely to keep the real estate donors happy.

My DNA shows I’m 94% English/Scottish, born in NZ as was my father – not from settlers stock. Pls enlighten me on how an empty mansion brings in jobs? Many of our hardest workers are of Indian descent and not bludgers, unlike many of the $5m brigade who travel the world sucking up all they want! Do you have an overpriced house to sell? I have not seen any valid explanation that explains how selling expensive houses to foreigners makes the country better off although given the lack of real evidence for any of your other claims we shouldn’t be surprised at the excuses flowing from your putrid imagination. It is more likely to develop into a ponzi where previous wealthy immigrants sell overpriced houses to new wealthy immigrants as a scam and NZ derives no benefit.
It’s getting better by the minute. In all my years I have never ever come across such “biased policies / selective enforcement! Is the language test to learn “the manager doesn’t want to speak to you” which seems to be the standard government way to respond. They probably want them to learn “how much rent should I pay” as well.
