You have more chance of winning lotto than getting a state house or any help from this Government

Nicola Willis’ Lotto comments about State housing tenants expose the cold joke at the heart of National’s welfare policy: poverty is your fault, and shelter is now treated like a prize.
Responding to questions about plans to overhaul the social housing system, Finance Minister Nicola Willis said tenants had “won the Lotto”. Later on Thursday evening however, she said she regretted saying it.
Stuff
“You’ve won the lotto!” the Finance Minister says, rifling through your empty fridge to check for champagne.
Nicola Willis’ Lotto comments reveal the cruelty underneath
She apologised for saying it, but there is a truth inside National’s welfare vandalism: you have more chance of winning Lotto than getting a State house or any help from this Government.
Only in politics can poverty be rebranded as luck — “You’re not struggling, you’re just pre-rich.”
So the new jackpot is three numbers, two balls, and one letter from the ministry saying your rent just doubled?
Nothing says windfall like being charged more for the same leaking roof!
Luck Egalitarianism isn’t a welfare system.
Public housing was once a safety net. Turns out it’s more like a trapdoor with a timer!
The joke isn’t that State tenants have won Lotto. The joke is that National thinks the rest of us are stupid enough to believe cruelty is fairness.

Nasty nicoliar is at it again, the bald ones mask is truly off and he’s showing he is a cunt all his pretending to be nice as pie and politically naive but really he is a piece of shit not good enough to be our PM.
” … help from this Government. ”
We could try and remember that what ever pretends to be our governance isn’t that.
The gangster clan that wears the colours of what was once our governance by us and so for us isn’t ‘ours’ but theirs. And it’s about now that you and you should ask ” What is it then and who is it? ” Two very interesting and important questions they’d be.

It’s reported that Luxon himself said he’d fake it until he made it. He’s also a close friend of pervy wee jonky the hair fondling banter man.
Hmmmm…. I wonder.

Under Labour there were thousands of complaints but only 17 evictions. It was not fair that the thousands of good law abiding renters suffered harrisment just because Labour wanted to be kind .
That’s not the topic Trevor.
Now, what do you have to say about pensioners being put on the street by this government?
Nothing…
Take your fake concerns and shove them up your arse you slavering cunt weasel.
Willis is pathetic really….her $45,000 a year education did not work for her….contacts did…to a point.
You can’t buy intelligence…
The thing about hubris is that people who are strictly average, like Willis, Luxon and Seymour, can really really really really believe that they are fantastic if they continue to talk themselves up and act like they know what they are doing ….when clearly they don’t!
Psychologists have termed these people as ‘braggarts’.
We all know one or two…but…when you have a whole bunch of them, unfortunately pooled together running a country, then you end up with the massive clusterfuck of a mess we now have.
Stupid is…stupid says…stupid does.
Seriously, is there much difference between what Edmonds said and what Willis said about being lucky to live in public housing was like winning lotto??? I lived my first 20 years in a state-owned home and it was one of the happiest times of my life. Many, like my father [Airforce] served in WWII for 6 yrs with a man from the Navy and one from the Army as close neighbour’s so they didnt have much in savings to come home to. There always need to be state-owned houses and more so now with wages so out of kilter as to be criminally extreme! But it’s easier to keep kicking people in the teeth than admit you have no intention of addressing the lack of affordable housing in NZ but prefer to use the demoviction / renoviction methods! If you are evicted for being disruptive or abusive, then suck it up. Being in a state-owned home gave me the impetus to do much better, and I did. I don’t ‘need’ a CSC but know greedy oldies, with real estate closer to $4m, who do!
Yes those rich $4 million plus rich people dining on cray fish and opposing state housing are a bad example for the 90% of people who need help in retirement .An example is the elite in a retirement village in Kerikeri who got a public house building program scraped because it was too close to them .Never mind that their grand kids might be living in a car or on the street .Then they went to Russel to have a crayfish lunch and go for a cruse on their launch.
