I really, really, really don’t like Musk.
Don’t get me wrong, the rocket landing and catching stuff is cool and his car has really clever design features.
I think his stewardship of Twitter is so fucking dumb it hurts.
He’s literally the worst person to be the Overlord of the public Town Square.
I think many of his hot takes are pure ignorance and maliciously spiteful.
The way he inserts himself into other countries internal politics and his grotesque mutilation of the State via the farcically idiotic DOGE mark him as a unique danger.

Bernie Sanders 2025 Edition ofFight Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here makes the point that the Billionaire Class, Big Polluters and Corporations have transformed under Trump into a naked plutocracy:

- Billionaires are a tiny fraction of the population — about 0.0005 % of Americans — yet played a disproportionately large role in political spending in recent elections.
- Billionaire wealth jumped over 16 % in 2025, bringing total billionaire wealth to $18.3 trillion
- 60 % of Americans live paycheck to paycheck
- 85 million uninsured or underinsured
- 800,000 homeless people in the U.S.
Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”, a $1 trillion tax-cut package, was the largest transfer of wealth upward in living memory!

Look at how the biggest polluters were able to secretly buy their interests with National.
The Oligarchs are here not to liberate us, but to enslave us!
As for the vast valuations given to SpaceX.
He hasn’t brought the self driving cars into anywhere near the level promised.
Going to Mars is fucking insane. We should be investing in saving this planet rather than building a survival lifeboat for Billionaires.
He has cleverly harnessed existing engineering ideas and benefitted from new technology to get monopoly positions with satellites.
His cars are good dammit.
But the idea of data centres in space and making money on that all seems like insane greed ego and corporate narcissism than reality.
Surely he should focus more on delivering fully autonomous self driving cars before building a bunker on Mars?
Also, what happens to SpaceX if he dies?
When you consider the enormous amount of drugs he consumes, wouldn’t an overdose be a real concern?
I see Musk’s wealth as a selfish manifestation, not a celebration of humanity.

If Musk only had only 1% of his wealth, he would still be billions better off than most people.
His cars are now behind the curve when it comes to EV’s. The Chinese are producing them much cheaper and with a much more integrated look it seems to me. Not helped by that ridiculous body cyber truck thing. Or by the “self driving” accidents.
