Trump’s 250 Birthday speech more like a drunk uncle at a wedding
I watched Trump’s 250 Birthday Speech because like with any Trump event, you’re not sure if he’ll get through it without an assassination attempt, and who wants to miss that?
Spoiler alert, no one attempted to assassinate him.
Other than God.
The huge storms that delayed his speech felt very end of days and the force used against MAGA supporters to clear the grounds was just the right amount of redneck patriotism meets respect-my-authority fascism to mark America’s 250th.
Trump’s immaturity and his immorality make him the perfect symbol of America.
His bloated fake tan drenched in fast food sweat is America.
His narcism, his violence, his trampling of all things decent is America.
His crass protection rackets and obscene corruption and grifting is America.
His Big Beautiful Bill gave the wealthiest a Trillion dollar tax break while giving crumbs to the workers he pretends to stand with.
That’s so American.
Trump is America and no one manages to sum up its 250 wretched years better than his foul mutation of every value America proclaims itself for.
God defend America because Trump sure as Christ won’t.

I am afraid that a narcistic personality plus dementia and being in a very powerful position is not a good combination. I think many Americans are better than this.
Trump certainly is coming across as being More and More Insane than ever before.
I feel so sorry for those Americans that now have him as their POTUS. But unfortunately as well America did get what they voted for.
Sadly also we have an often Absent, Missing in Action, Part-time prime minister of NZ who probably thinks Trump is the best thing since sliced bread.
The amount of sycophantic adulation Luxon gives to Trump gives me the impression that once Luxon is out of parliament he will head over to America to be on that “BORED of Peace” that will cost NZ taxpayers over NZ$1.7billion. And that could explain why this government has “Stolen” NZ$1.5billion from Budget 2027 to “donate” to a Donald Trump bank account.
It does seems Bullies across the board in Western politics love to congregate together eg Luxon and Trump. The thing about Luxon though is he is a Weakling Whereas Trump is a Narcissist.
I think everything has been said about lunatic Trump. He is so off the planet he is absolutely embarrassing. He hasn’t got anything of intellect to say, just rants, rambles and continually contradicts himself. As you say, he’s like a drunk uncle at a wedding! His days are numbered. He is too old to be in the position he is in and clearly not a well man. Let’s let nature run its course here but the sooner he is gone, the better for our shakey planet. He’s the personification of everything that is evil, fake, fraudulent and deceitful, so it beats the hell out of me why devotee Luxon fawns all over him as if he is a pop star! Why can’t countries see that we need people from “every walk of life” not just top-feeders who take but never give anything back?
Luxon is a corporate head-nodder. If he believes he can “grow the economy” by kissing up to a malignant narcissist with delusions of empire, he’ll absolutely do it. These people don’t consider morals or ethics. They think about money. And that’s all they think about.
