71 more people killed and 339 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile–launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 71 dead and 339 wounded. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, has risen to at least 62,966and that of the wounded is at least 159,266. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 230. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Key Highlights

• Israeli forces carried out a four-day operation in Al Mughayir village in Ramallah, blocking entrances, searching homes and uprooting thousands of olive trees.

• Home demolitions in Area C, due to the lack of Israeli-issued building permits, have displaced nearly 900 Palestinians so far in 2025, representing a 39% increase compared with the corresponding period in 2024 and more than double the figure in the same period in 2023.

• Six Palestinian herding families, comprising 34 people, were forcibly displaced from Barriyet Kisan in Bethlehem governorate, after Israeli settlers raided homes, threatened residents and looted property.

• OCHA documented 11 settler attacks against farmers in Halhul village, in Hebron governorate, within the context of the grape harvest season in August.

Israeli Army attacks – 1 taken prisoner – homes demolished – robbery – 2 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and searching homes, as well as the Fakhr al-Din currency exchange, seizing its computers and taking prisoner the owner and one other person. More homes and other buildings were demolished.
