The civil war between Winston Peters and Christopher Luxon has exploded into the open — and the political damage could reshape Election 2026. As the economy buckles under energy inflation and geopolitical instability, the coalition now looks more focused on internal bloodletting than governing.

NZ Foreign reputation – The world now knows our Prime Minister wanted to support America and Israel’s illegal war on Iran.
Luxon – He’s so weak now he can’t even fight off Winston as he shanks him. The only thing weaker than Luxon is his Caucus who can’t find anyone with the stones to knife him and put him out of his misery. His argument that he was merely testing NZ’s foreign policy is just not credible.
National – Luxon’s inability to gain any respect from Winston or David means they have no one who can fight their corner. Winston has kept the receipts and will drip feed them all the way up until the election and leave National with no more than 25% on election day.
ACT – Winston is sucking up all the news oxygen and choking David out while he looks deep into Seymours eyes. It’s a thing of beauty.
NZ Economy – NZ is facing the worst energy crisis in our history and the Government is wasting time on bickering amongst themselves over who disrespects Luxon the most.
What happens if the coalition completely implodes?
PREDICTIONS:
The economy will continue to tank as the energy inflation hits, the climate will go to drought in the North Island and flooding in the South. Voters will want solutions and NZ First’s destabilisation campaign will build Labour, Green, Te Pāti Māori and TOP vote.
Winston will win the battle and lose the war.
The Greem Party and Te Pati Maori are the only two parliamentary parties to recognise that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza.
