The Left need to win back male voters the middle class woke drove into the arms of the toxic masculinity reactionary right

The extremes of the middle class woke cancel culture social media Lynch mobs of 2016-2020 handed over enormous political ammunition to the reactionary Right that has created a toxic culture war backlash of grievance and ignorance.

Most working class people had no idea what a pronoun was, they wondered if they could eat a pronoun or maybe use it to pay bills.

When the economically dislocated turned to the Left for solutions all we had was vegan free the nipple campaigns and endless pronoun arguments.

The Fourth Wave Feminists, non binary activists and middle class work surmised all penises were war crimes waiting to happen (excerpt any penis that was transitioning –  they are wonders of the world), the ALL MEN ARE RAPISTS mantra alongside claims of privilege not evidenced by the educational achievements combined to drive men away from the Left into the arms of the Manosphere.

The interesting thing about Maine Democrat Graham Platner whose campaign was torpedoed by the weaponised  allegations from the Girlfriends of Christmas past was that Platner was supposed to be redemption for white men in politics.  A working class oyster farming former marine suffering PTSD  who had charted his addictions and worked through them was a redemption story, instead it became another toxic privilege argument…

…Men are unforgivable now because we are in the age of ghosting, we are in the age of permanent offence and outrage, no one can ever be healed from their past, they must forever be damned.

We have allowed feelings to dominate because rationalism and objectivity are heteronormative white cis males privileges.

The real problem with identity politics is the moment working class men see themselves not as a citizens or a class, but as an identity wrapped in the same grievance as intersectionalism.

It’s why the Woke really need to stay on BlueSky this election because no one gives a fuck what is said on BlueSky, it can be a padded echo chamber for the woke to scream into.

Politics in NZ is now so heavily gender based, If the Left can’t win some men back this election, we will find it very hard to win the election.
