If you are a Kāinga Ora tenant, you should be terrified this election. If you know someone who is a state tenant or you are a state tenant, you must enrol this election and vote like your life depends upon it, because this election it does,

Martyn – Most Kiwis do not get to pay 25% to 30% of their income on rent only…it is more like 40% to 50%…
Greedy landlords is not a valid reason to encourage a greedy government. I can remember paying less than 5% of my income in rent (it was a basic house) so the housing ponzi scheme is not a valid excuse to justify high rents in my view.
Yeah but 70% of fuck all is even less than fuck all and losing 5% of fuck all makes a real difference.
So Kainga Ora [Knock Out] is living up to its name which is exactly what the cruel Luxon wants. It’s bad enough seeing what he consistently gets away with, lying, cheating, spreading misinformation, but that he truly believes we can’t see through his ‘thicko’ facade is unbelievable. We are being led to believe that state/public owned housing is an unnecessary evil when all tenants are trying to do is desperately bridge the now ENORMOUS GAP between the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’. Many years ago I recall my boss earning 2-3x more than me. By the time I retired it was way over 6x. So the self-entitled call the shots, pocket all they can while regular workers do two jobs to pay the BASICS! And this is good for our country? THERE is ENOUGH to go around but HOW MUCH is ENOUGH for the greedy? Show some basic empathy and understanding and actually see what is really going on under this grasping mob of Economic Gansters!
