“Housing New Zealand’s chief executive Andrew McKenzie refused to be interviewed again today.
He has never given RNZ an interview on his agency’s meth testing policy and his communications manager said he never will.”
CAN A “MOMENTUM” be built in New Zealand? This, in essence, was the question posed by millennial political scholar extraordinaire, Max Harris, to the sixty-or-so leftists who showed up at the Kai Pasifika restaurant on Wednesday night (30/5/18) for the welcome return of Laila Harré’s political “salon”.
In a week when the government has announced hundreds of millions to compensate farmers, many of whom are exceptionally wealthy, for something which appears to be no fault of the government, Housing Minister Phil Twyford is refusing to compensate state house tenants for what amounted to state-sanctioned abuse of vulnerable families by Housing New Zealand.
Please tell me NZ that HNZ and the National Party aren’t going to get away with blowing $100m on a contamination problem that never existed, leaving hundreds of state houses empty during a housing crisis and maybe 1000 people homeless?
Things that are terribly important to the NZ media vs things that aren’t
Seeing as the NZ mainstream media were complicit in promoting this hysteria, shouldn’t they start doing their job and demand answers to these 5 questions?
There has always been an unwritten rule between white NZ and the Cops that we will politely look the other way while they use any level of force to bash Māori. Our setter forefathers and foremothers would get nervous after dark at the natives hanging around the edge of the settlements and that fear meant we’d agree to any action by those we called in to defend us.
Every NZ media outlet who this morning don’t lead with the $100m meth contamination scam but were busy feeding it for Paula Bennett at the height of the hysteria should all be ashamed of themselves – you aren’t journalists, you are fucking pimps!
Remember the context here, National were busy trying to privatise state housing, so this constant media attention on dirty filthy druggie bennies contaminating good solid taxpayer built state houses was a PR coup from heaven for National.
