Hooton was the main reason for subscriptions to the Herald, with him and Simon Wilson gone that only leaves Fran O’Sullivan, and Audrey Young to justify the subscription fee.
Thomas Coughlan is just not a good enough of a reason to pay the price for the paywall!
I think what we will see is vast subscription cancelations at NZME and a huge jump in The Post.
Anything that weakens Jim Grenon’s hold over news media should be seen as a win for democracy.
This govt spends spends two and a half times as much on advertising with NZME than it does with Stuff and gets the slant it pays for.

Grenon, yet another scurrilous, spiteful critter who has come to NZ not to better our country or even himself, simply to cause mayhem wherever and whenever he can. We don’t want him here and he should never have been allowed to buy this newspaper.
