  1. This from No Right Turn.

Prime Minister Chris Luxon gave a pre-budget speech to the Auckland business community today, in which he promised even more austerity. But he also made a play for ACT and NZ First’s racist, anti-immigration voters, with a warning to his listeners:

“And you should expect to see careful policy on immigration from National as we get closer to the election … when it comes to immigration, when faced with a choice between social stability and your bottom line, I will choose the former every single time.”
Which is bullshit, firstly because immigration is not a threat to “social stability”; and secondly because the greatest historic threat to social stability has been inequality, the greed of the rich. But on that front Luxon has their back. He’s perfectly willing to destabilise Aotearoa’s society to enrich his mates, promising austerity and asset sales while doing nothing to limit inequality or the runaway wealth of the few, preferring instead to rely on ever-more tyrannical anti-protest laws for protection. And of course when it comes to coalition parties pushing white supremacy, tearing up te Tiriti, and attempting to eradicate te reo from public life, he’s all in.
But I don’t think an unequal, racist tyranny, divided between a small clique of rich Auckland arseholes and a mass of renters forced to work minimum-wage jobs is the sort of society most kiwis want to live in. And hopefully we will tell Luxon that forcefully in November.

  2. Great to see TMP share of the party vote climbing. They need to start moving their message out beyond the Māori seats and connect with many of our economic refugees.

  3. Seymour’s a snowflake and buckled under the slightest pressue…look how he mentally collapsed when those 2 girls fronted him in front of the Bridge of Rememberance…couldn’t handle it..

  4. I hate to pop the glitter bubble of the terminally hopeful but here comes the pin.
You think we have a democratic politic worthy of debate and trust do you?
Neoliberalism? Heard of? It’s here and now and not going anywhere soon if we’re to rely on chipkins and his chipsters.
Bread is the vehicle for jam, right? So neoliberalism is the vehicle for politically camouflaged criminal activities. Before we vote we must ask the crown for a public, royal commission of inquiry up and into every traitor who’s most benefited from neoliberalism’s cunning influence. Our 14 multi-billionaires, including graeme hart, the 3118 multi-millionaires, each with a starting gate figure of $50 million net and the four now australian owned banksters; anz, asb, bnz and westpac might be able to help. Aye Boyz?
A public, royal commission of inquiry up and into our collective economy please followed by a forensic tax investigation into how the fuck there are 14 New Zealand multi-billionaires, 3118 multi-millionaires each with a $50 mil net wealth and four banks now, australian owned and being the second most profitable banks in the world and we’re an agricultural primary economy country? How? The banking industry forced our world first farmers into dairying, a mono-industry fraud / con combo then sold us to the fucking Indians labeled a free trade agreement which simply means a money laundering scam to hide fact-based, hard evidence.

  5. Labour need policies that old people will vote for.
Policies that stack up in the self interest of old people.

High quality Public Health and Hospital services that old people know will be there when they need them.

A housing market that lets young people own homes without mum and dad becoming bankers.

An economy and migration policy that lets them know they can see their grandkids often because they live in the same country.

The electricity wolf companies wont chew up over half their super in a cold month.

  6. Of course the Taxpayers Union poll is a FAKE! How anyone, with even half a brain, could believe it is genuine is laughable! Folk we are being ‘conned’ / ‘brainwashed’! Ignore this Cr&p poll – vote for a better NZ. Don’t flee to Oz, stay so we can work together to put our lovely country back on an even better track. Yes, it won’t be easy, but if we all contribute [incl the ‘haves’] we can do it. Each of us just has to do their bit.

  7. Good summary. What a campaign its going to be. Chippie needs to win the leaders debates. Social media will be a toxic cesspit stirred into radioactive fury by local and overseas elements. We know that us old people are going to vote. So the key will be getting young voters, on the roll and into the booths.

  8. Older people vote young people do not see the point they are too busy getting by and sorting out their lives. This has been true for years and that is why Labour struggle to get their supporters out on the day.
Any vote for TPM has to be held up for scrutiny as there are now 3 parts to the puzzle .

    1. You’re not credible Trevor. Which is the latest poll now?
Here’s a few reasons for New Zealanders to get out and vote, actually, a few ofof many reasons to vote out this horrible CoC government…and you won’t find these stories in Jim Grenons right wing NZ Herald, only anti left propaganda stories…

    2. Anyone who votes for either National or ACT will wilfuly be voting for parties who are willing to corrupt the political system to try and gain power, thus making making it undemocratic.

Look at the way they are manipulating the voting registration timelines already.
Dirty players….cheating is what they do best.

Even though they are gifted 4 times the financial support of the Left to spread their propaganda and lies to gaslight the public they still have to resort to cheating.

Crooks flock to National and ACT like moths to a lightbulb….they recognise their own kind!

      1. Yes they tell lots of lies and repeat everything. I see National already have huge billboards up on our Wellington motorway. National aren’t very popular in Wellington the ferry debacle hasn’t helped.

        1. The ferry debacle was, and still is, a major clusterfuck / problem.

5 week waiting lists to get a vehicle across…either way…regular breakdowns due to a worn out fleet and far less bang for the buck now with the absoute state-of- the- art Hyundai ferries …due 3 months ago…now being replaced by some poor immitation with less features made in a Chinese warship factory…not due till 2030…. not to mention the massive $640 million dollar fine having to be worn by the taxpayers of N.Z.

Willis should have been sacked immediately for such a dumb , spiteful, stupid, wasteful, knee jerk
          ridiculous decision.

But no..the men’s face cream and icecream salesman, Luxon…naivety and delusion personified… reckons she’s the best Finance Minister ever…
What planet do these people inhabit?

        2. Act do not believe in or support a state pension / super ,,, or a non public health system.

National are much the same …..
