Greens Accuse Luxon of Anti-Migrant Politics
The Greens are accusing Christopher Luxon of importing the ugliest parts of global right-wing politics into New Zealand — scapegoating migrants while billionaires and corporations continue profiting through a deepening cost-of-living crisis.
The Prime Minister’s pre-Budget speech today confirms a Government that has chosen to scapegoat migrants and shield corporate profit while New Zealanders struggle to pay the bills, says the Green Party.
“Christopher Luxon has made his choice. Blame migrants for the problems of the world in order to protect corporate profits driving the cost-of-living crisis,” says Green Party Co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick.

“Luxon talked about the patterns playing out around the world right now, highlighting far-right anti-immigration fear mongering. He very intentionally side-stepped the reality of the billionaires reaping record profit at the expense of people and planet, and financially backing those very parties blaming migrants.”
“After trying to tie us ever-closer to the Trump administration, he’s now doing a Trump impression. This playbook always ends the same way. Working people get the blame, big business gets the spoils.”

If we truly thought Luxon could become any weaker, we only have to read this article. He’s totally deluded and the more he looks in the mirror the more he will see this intelligent, hard-working, thoughtful and caring PM; while we can see the real deal – nothing of substance, just emptiness and impotence. Wouldn’t it be great to have a ‘real person’ in charge, someone with moral fibre, b&lls and honest to boot? I’m not just upset with our current regime, I’m disgusted to the core. Funny, but not, how some voters close their eyes and minds when they see/hear him; i guess it makes it easier to swallow the never-ending rampant BS! BTW does Luxon actually mix with any ‘regular people’ – I doubt it!
