  1. Greetings Patrick,

You ask if the repudiation of Zionism implies the denial of Israel’s right to exist. You begin to answer this first question yourself by asking a second regarding how Zionist rule could be replaced with a true democracy. Not one critic has attempted to refute the undeniable evidence and facts presented in the article. Israel’s obsession with demography and its record of heartless seizure of another people’s land and property is driven by its founding ideology, Zionism.

Zionism, the last of the Twentieth Century’s state-sponsored racist ideologies to survive to the present day, is entirely at odds with the Fourth Geneva Convention. Study the evidence presented by Jews who are outraged by the human rights abuses that Israel carries out in their name and you will begin to understand. Read The General’s Son by Miko Peled, an ex-Israeli Army officer who went on a painful journey of discovery that exposed the myths that Zionism depends upon. https://mikopeled.com/category/the-generals-son-by-miko-peled/

The contradictions of Zionism are very clearly expressed by an ex-member of the Zionist Irgun terrorist organisation, who is still with us, Israeli writer Uri Avnery. He informs us http://zope.gush-shalom.org/home/en/channels/avnery/1483105431/ that “The avowed aim of Zionism is to ingather all the Jews in the world in the Jewish State. The avowed aim of the anti-Semites is to expel the Jews from all their countries. Both sides want the same.” He goes on: “Theodor Herzl, the Founding Father of Zionism, recognised this right from the beginning. He went to Czarist Russia, which was governed by anti-Semites, and offered a deal: we take the Jews off your hands, you help us to convince them to leave. That was in the heyday of the murderous pogroms.”

Uri Avnery also tells us: “In 1939, when the Nazi danger became obvious, the extreme Zionist leader Vladimir (Ze’ev) Jabotinsky called for a meeting of his followers in Poland. The leaders of the Irgun underground in Palestine attended. One of them was Abraham Stern, whose nom de guerre was Ya’ir. The meeting decided to approach the anti-Semitic commanders of the Polish army and offer them a deal: you arm and train young Polish Jews, and we shall liberate Palestine and transport the Polish Jews there.” To Zionists the seizing of another people’s land and the ethnic cleansing of its population is ‘liberation’! Avnery remembers when, as a 16-year-old refugee from the Nazis, he fell out with Abraham Stern for his view that Hitler was a potential ally: “Stern created his own group (later called Lehi, Hebrew initials of Fighters for the Freedom of Israel, also known as the ‘Stern gang’). He sent an emissary to neutral Turkey, where he delivered the German ambassador a letter for “Mr. Hitler”, offering co-operation.”

Another Israeli writer, Gideon Levy http://www.haaretz.com/opinion/.premium-1.762347, tells us that, “It requires us to rethink everything – to rethink Zionism and the all privileges that were bestowed on one people only. This is the beginning of a long, painful road, but it’s the only one that’s still open to us. This road leads to one of two destinations: an apartheid state or a democratic state.”

  2. If Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt have nothing to do with Israel’s behaviour then I can’t see any point in your comment.

    Silly?

    Be sure of your ground.

    UN Hoodwinked by what.

    Pointless resolutions about Israel?

Is that because Israel just ignores the resolutions and human dignity.

  3. Andrew, how pathetic are you?? You point your finger at everyone else and steadfastly refuse to acknowldge Israel’s crimes. Shame on you and your blatant dishonesty.

Your desperation is clear to see.

  4. And why indeed did the UN not say anything about the 850,000 Jews who were dispossessed of the property including land when they were driven out of Arab countries in 1948.

Care to explain that a wee bit further, Andrew? Perhaps some citation, historical context… anything? Because so far you just seem to vent your prejudices irrespective of facts. Did you, by any chance, attend Trump University to practice informed debate?

So far, the only people driven out of Palestine were the Palestinians themselves. In what has become known as the ‘Nakba’, around 700,000 Palestinians were forced out from Palestine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1948_Palestinian_exodus

So please spare us your drivel in attempting to make the invaders out to be the victims. You’re simply making a clown of yourself.

  5. You want to repudiate Israel’s basic law and allow Palestinian right of return to Israel proper. Why would Israel allow that when it would mean the end of Israel itself?

I find that an intriguing question coming from an ACT apparatchik like your yourself, Gosman.

One of the prime tenets of neo-liberalism is the “sanctity of property”.

Considering that Palestinians were dispossessed of their land and homes, would you not apply the doctrine of sanctity of property to Palestinians?

Because from what I’m getting from you is that doctrine applies only to the strong who can seize and hold other’s property. In other words, a law of the jungle”.

I hope you are not advocating that.

  6. Andrew would you care to explain what Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt have to do with Israel’s behaviour – apart from the link of Israel bombing Egypt.

I am interested in what the connection is.

  7. Gosman can you explain how ” Israel’s basic law” over rides the Geneva convention.

Many countries have a varied population with mixed beliefs and races.

  8. SIMPLE the Zionist own the USA and most other western governments to a degree, through the use of their own government members and lobbyist.

    1. I would like to see evidence that would with stand scrutiny and repudiating that assertion.

The observable pattern certainly suggest ownership and control but lets be open about this and test it.

Who issues the new money and holds government to debt.

      Open transparency would be nice.

  9. I follow Fox News. Not because I in any way agree with them or the assortment of lunatics that follow them, but just to see what the commentary on their Facebook page is like.

And a comment will often go like this when it comes to Israel:

So glad you believe this too! Israel is God’s chosen land and the Jews his chosen people! Israel has always been a friend and ally to the USA! We must always stand with her!
    —-

When I see comments like those, I that is when I write a line or two about standing with international law and how Israel is just one nation among a community of 212 nations around the world.

And I have had various comments such as:

    “You’re an anti-Semite”

“God will judge you harshly for attacking His chosen people”

“You’re just a a New Zealander who has no business in world affairs”
    —-

That last one I found particularly funny. Umm, I mean, did we not just complete a two year stint in one of the temporary Security Council seats?

    1. “God will judge you harshly for attacking His chosen people”

      and other narcissistic reflections.

In 1877 NZ adopted a law making education compulsory, free and secular, the law being argued and found to be the best compromise by pillars of the church in our governing body..

That is the foundation of our secular society.

Most Kiwis appreciate the strength we have gained as a nation from that foundation.

Separation of state and belief systems allows rational debate.

    2. “God will judge you harshly for attacking His chosen people”

Yikes, didn’t the Nazis have something to say about themselves being “the chosen people”?! Or “master race”, or somesuch codswallop?

I’ll pit my god against their god anyday!!

  10. And yet Israeli supporters just don’t seem to , or want to get it.

    A terrorist state.

Why is it funded by the USA.

    1. Report claim the 6 million figure goes back a long way further than pre WWII and may feature in doctrine. Possibly metaphoric.

6M sound a lot more persuasive then a few hundred thousand and starvation due to warfare and bombing I have yet to see mentioned by 6M claimants.

I am always willing to learn and naturally history should be researched openly without constraint. Name calling – what is that about.

    2. Steve, your link went to a whole heap of pages from old newspapers.

I checked on the first page: The sun., April 30, 1891, Page 6, Image 6.

      It refers to a paragraph;

“The Russian government is striving to drive away the Jews under its control, and there are at least [5][6] 000,000 Jews in Russia.”

The reason I have “5” and “6” in parathensis is that I cannot make out whether the figure is a “5” or “6”.

The next image is from The sun., July 08, 1903, Page 12, Image 12.

      It says,

“In a small part of Russia, in the cities, there are crowded together 5,000,000 Jews who cannot be farmers, who cannot own soil, who are excluded from certain professions, and certain businesses, and who are really held prisoners.”

The number there is 5 million, not 6.

I’m not sure what the relevance of that is to the six million Jews murdered in concentration camps in WW2.

However, it appears to be a waste of time going any further unless you have a point to make. The information you’ve presented is meaningless.

      1. It is obvious by going through “a whole heap of pages from old newspapers” that the prevailing number cited is 6 million. So the question is “How is it the numbers cited pre-war match the numbers killed exactly?”

Even asking that question is against the law in many countries. That is the nature of this intractible problem – questioning anything around Israel is immediately meet with shouts of racism and anti-semitism. You own reaction is loaded with that accusation even though you are careful not to state it overtly.

So far from being meaningless my point gets to the very crux of the problem.
