As the 12-month anniversary of Israel’s genocide approaches, in 28 centres thousands of people will protest this weekend

Over 30 Palestine solidarity protests across 28 centres around the country this weekend will call out the Luxon government’s complicity with genocide.

In the meantime, Israel drops three MK-84 bombs on an Al Mawasi tent encampment in an Israeli designated “safe zone” killing at least 19 and injuring dozens more.

The bombs most likely use Rakon-supplied crystal oscillators for the one tonne (2000lb) bombs’ guidance systems.

The US briefly suspended MK-84 supplies to Israel in May saying Israel could use them in densely populated areas of Gaza. The US resumed sending the bombs and Israel used them as predicted – in the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians.

The details of the protests around the country this weekend are on the PSNA Facebook events page here. Basic details are below.

  1. Isn’t interesting John.
One would have thought you might want to open with:
As the 12-month anniversary of Hamas’s terrorist atrocities approaches…”
    Not?

    • This is true. When terrorism is the name of your game, then acting similar to your type of game to try and break free of this terrorism, would elicit your type of thinking, for sure. Silly Palestinians, for thinking they could play the Israeli game, hundreds of thousands have died or are on the verge of dying now….mind you, the terrorist entity that is Israel is on the verge of collapsing too. Bad news all round huh.

  2. Hamas are the heroes.
Just like the Russians beat the Nazis.
    Hamas are heroes.
The ANC eventually overcame the 300 year White Afrikaana/British apartheid in South Afruca.
    Hamas are heroes.
Just like the Ukraine resitance fight will eventually overcome the Russian invasion
    Hamas are heroes.
Just like my Maori people fought against the White invasion after 1840.
    Hamaas are heroes.
The British stole Palestine in 1919
    Hamas are heroes
THe Jews invaded Palestine in 1948 backed by Britain and France,
    Hamas are heroes.
1950-2024 The USA uses the illegal state of Israel as a military base to subjugate 400 Million Muslims.
    Hamas are heroes.
Britain The Jews The USA are the evil terrorists.
    Hamas are heroes.

    • Absolutely, we have got a nice, big giant camera right under us. All protests are monitored now days, civil disobedience is on the way out, Israeli-like control of every single one of us is on the horizon…Israel being the test lab for such wholesale monitoring of us plebs after all. The same power/money behind Israel is the same money/power that sees everyone as potential terrorists. What is happening in Palestine-Israel, is our future – brilliant huh.

  3. When Israel does what is needed to do in crushing Hamas, destroying the tunnels, then Israel will retreat and end the war.
Hamas have been humiliated and are now running away and hiding in neighbouring countries or well away from the actual fighting.
I suspect the Hamas leaders living in Qatar will have unfortunate accidents in the coming months.

  4. Where are the supporters of the British who stole Palestine in 1919?
Where are the supporters of the Criminal terrorists Jews who invaded Palestine n 1948?
Where are the supporters of the terrorist USA using weapons of mass destruction against 400 million Muslims?

    • Palestinians never had sovereignty over the land to which they aspire, so your reference to theft is nonsense. Jews have lived in the area for 2000+ years longer than Māori have been here. Hardly invaders. I am not sure who the 400 million Muslims are so I won’t comment.

      • Guess most of us will have to fluck off out of this country then, similar sentiments for OZ, Yank-land, on and on I could go – if history – is the prerequisite for land ownership. Kinda runs into problems in the form of sovereignty and what not, but hey, never mind that…..

      • Interesting when you look at the ancient historical maps of Judea and Israel showing Gaza being called Philistine. It was never conquered by Judea or Israel and absorbed so what is the basis for Israels claim for it being part of “Greater Israel”? It is simply land theft and Apartheid.
Another ignored fact is the Kingdom of Israel and Judea only lasted 400 years before its collapse.
Accepting the claim that Israel is the Jewish peoples homeland whilst ignoring the longer held claim of the Palestinians is insanity based of religious texts that most historians acknowledge as a Jewish myth with no basis in the historical record.
Another historical fact is Gaza, Asheklon and Ashod were Philistine great cities and their power-base existing as early as 4200 BCE and documented by the 14th Egyptian empire long before the existence of Yahewism. For further proof look no further than the Torah. Another little known historical fact is the first few Popes were Jewish.
The saying “From the river to the sea” refers to the geographical area of East Palestine from the river Jordan and was used by ancient Arabia to describe the Palestinian peoples location which was common. Palestine proper extended as far as to what was once known as Trans Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.
In 1977 the Likud political party’s slogan was “From the river to the sea” In today’s bent up world it is now “Antisemitic”
The name Palestine is a direct derivative from the ancient word Philistine or the Egyptian word Palaset used to describe the geographical area and its people. When people describe Palestinians as an invented people that are really Jordanians and Syrians you begin to understand the lie and misdirection.

  5. Cycled past the Kerikeri mass protest recently. Huge! Massuve! One Palestine flag. Two banners I think. Handful of people chanting and having flat whites. No doubt they were Green Party types. Or maybe rastas?

  6. Every scumbot ever ignitioned from the orc-bog here. If the Holocaust was televised like this genocide, Nazis would be commenting like this. The Jewish-supremacist, ubermensch state must go — tomorrow, if not sooner. The dead-souled neoliberal regime cannot respond rightly to a genocide. Have to go.

  7. Many of you don’t seem to be up with what is happening.

Israel is under intense monetary pressure.
    Businesses are going under.
Academics are no longer invited to international conferences.
Academics are no longer getting their papers published in journals.

About 3 months ago the Zionist people in Otautahi put out an invitation to an event that they then had to cancel because they just can’t themselves back on the radar. The number who protest here on Sunday’s to promote their beliefs is tiny tiny tiny.
