MEDIAWATCH: TVNZ Tova vs Butt-plug loving Rural hunters vs the Lonely Cat Ladies Collective

Ummmmmm.
Live TVNZ interview goes off the rails after guest pulls sex toy from pocket
An interviewee going rogue on a live broadcast is not uncommon, but it certainly caught a few off guard on Monday morning.
Mat Bailey, a farmer and an organiser of the North Canterbury Hunting Club’s Feral Cat competition, was speaking live with TVNZ’s Breakfast host Tova O’Brien when she asked what was coming out of his jacket pocket.
“It’s not a cat’s tail, is it,” she asked.
Bailey proceeded to pull out what appeared to be a sex toy that he said he used as a makeshift microphone.
“I got this microphone, it’s a cat tail microphone,” he said, holding the object up to the camera.
Bailey told O’Brien he used it for commentating and kept it in his jacket pocket for safe keeping.
Asked if it was real, Bailey said, “I got that off AliExpress for $14 if you’re interested”.
He then proceeded to hold up a beer after already sharing he was battling with a hangover on Monday.
Stuff
I’m very pleased that rural feral hunters in NZ are so in touch with their sexuality and we shouldn’t kink shame for butt play with Furry Tails.
Some will say it was inappropriate to bring up on TVNZ, but TVNZ Breakfast is a joke anyway so no foul no penalty.
I support hunters shooting lots of feral things and don’t understand the pearl clutching from the Lonely Cat Ladies Collective that feral cats are included…
‘Is this a professional person?’: Cat advocate slams hunting organiser’s TV Stunt
An animal welfare advocate has fiercely condemned the organiser of a controversial South Island feral cat hunt, blasting his live breakfast television appearance in which he brandished a furry sex toy and openly admitted he was hungover.
Farmer and North Canterbury Hunting Club competition organiser Mat Bailey was interviewed live on TVNZ’s Breakfast show on Monday morning where he spoke about his hunting event that saw more than 400 feral cats killed.
He also pulled out what appeared to be a sex toy with a tail.
Anne Batley-Burton from NZ Cat Foundation, who was interviewed prior to Bailey, told Stuff she was disappointed by the way he spoke, along with the amount of airtime he received

…it’s almost like Anne has something stuck up her arse.
We have way greater shit to be concerned about than rural but plug loving hunters shooting feral cats and the perpetually outraged Lonely Cat Ladies Collective.
