How much must you need to hate Jacinda for the temerity to save 20 000 lives during a once in a century pandemic for all this to be acceptable?

  •  Racist attack on local council Māori wards
  • Cancelling Māori Health Authority
  • Manufacturing public health crisis to justify cut backs.
  • Repealing OT legislation forcing interaction with Iwi so they can green light a mass new tsunami of uplifts for Social Investment Big Data investment.
  • Throwing 50 000 beneficiaries off welfare including the disabled and drug addicts.
  • Promising cancer patients 14 new drugs and only funding half of them for twice the price.
  • Cancelling the Ferry’s only to spend more money for less Ferry!
  • Rigging Charter schools
  • Privatisation agenda in social housing
  • Allowing property developers to create urban sprawl ghettos.
  • Giving Chris Bishop, Simeon Brown and Dr Pork Shane Jones the power of Muldoon on meth with the Fast Track Powers!
  • Taking $3billion from climate change funds.
  • Allowing corporate dairy to avoid paying for their pollution.
  • Pushing 17000 kids into poverty to pay for tax cuts we can’t afford.
  • Dumping 3 waters to allow water rates to spike.
  • Military Boot Camps that don’t work.
  • Gutting public transport.
  • Allowing Newshub to fall over so there is less scrutiny of policy.
  • Allowing the donor calls to dictate policy.
  • Bending over backwards for the Tobacco Industry, Mining Industry and Real Estate Pimps
  • Allowing bosses to sack workers and Landlords to kick out renters
  • starting a race war
  • Getting NZ into Americas latest military adventure in the Red Sea
  • Tough on crime posturing that creates counter productive outcomes
  • Massive cuts to public spending that will become austerity next year.

How much must you hate Jacinda for all this corruption and deceit to be acceptable?

At some stage Kiwis need to take a long hard look at themselves and the manner in which the Right have manipulated their anger to implement policy for their rich donor mates.

You have been manipulated by the Right.

    • You’d think they’d have the decency to leave one public service working. They and their families might need the health service. Can’t go private for everything.
My cousin just told me she’s thinking hard about taking redundancy.

  1. The CoC vandals are running the place into the ground as per Martyn’s list–with unemployment rising sharply–then the newly sacked are pummelled by MSD/WINZ just to make things a bit more miserable for them.

Under capitalism there is never going to be full employment, the parasite class need a reserve group of labour to put downward pressure on wages and working class organisation, but with the 3% unemployed range the last Govt. had got it as low as is likely with good flow on effects. Then…migrant labour was opened up again with no infrastructure increase…so the majority in NZ are headed for a tough couple of years anyway you slice it.

This is the time for organisation and action, not waiting passively until 2026.
    • Occupy empty ghost houses and commercial property
    • Join a union, start one at your workplace
    https://union.org.nz/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/24-NZCTU-2.pdf
    • Support local community action like health workers and food pantries etc. do something practical for your neighbours
    • Participate in local democracy by going to Council and Community Board meetings, support retention of Māori Wards. There is a schism emerging between local and central Govt. after the Natzos dropped them in it over crumbling water infrastructure which led to huge rate increases, exploit it for your community’s sake.

    • I share your frustration and I ask myself what is it that the right are doing that enables them to successfully outflank the left. Most average people whether working or middle class do not benefit from center right economic policies or culture war division – so why do they vote for it?
What are they watching, reading, listening to end up thinking that a crueler and meaner government is going to benefit them and the families in the future presumably?

    • You must learn to control Labour’s vote nathan so that when they do promise things they do it or their butt gets kicked. No more beers, wines etc till they roll up their sleeves and expose their lily-white arms and clean fingernails to some actual yakker.

In the meantime learn as a voter how to make decisions so that while you are in the kitchen with the other deep thinkers, the pavlova and the sandwiches – cut into quarters too – don’t get scoffed by the thieving Gnats. Better to have some nosh home-made, than have the Gnats in and walk all over it with their germy legs spreading dis-ease!

    • Well they must have done something in power, because this bunch of useless self serving arseholes have spent a lot of time “undoing” stuff. Labour might have stuffed the opportunity to be visionary , and yes no CGT was a disgrace, but you can’t blame them for these sell outs. If Labour were disappointing these guys are an unmitigated disaster. One disastrous money wasting decision after another, and they borrowed for nothing that will help.

  2. “Bending over backwards for the Tobacco Industry, Mining Industry and Real Estate Pimps”

More like, bent the nation over forwards.

  3. I wonder if a whole gang of Comachero would have been arrested under Labour’s reign or would they have been given a grant to dhtart a Friendship group.

    • Comanchero’s were allowed to establish under Key’s friendship group reign, fact. So rightfully the right wing government should clean up their own mess or would they like a bipartisan approach with this also because they’re clueless?

  4. Under labour Trev they would still be living in Aus where they came from, they are a gift from John key and his 501 policy

    • Sorry but not John Key’s policy it is the will of the Australian government of both colors. They send them back to all countries that is why the Pacific Islands are now ravaged by drugs.
These guys arrived in NZ under Labour’s time in office . They took over another gangs pad in Chch .

  5. What about this poisonous garden of weeds on The Platform chaired by Michael Laws who seems to have a strange magnetic effect on some people. Perhaps that reveals all – they have had metal transplants in their brains. The comments all sound as if they come from people with stomach ulcers and constipation too. Very unhappy chappies and females as well.

Michael Laws Exposes the Irony in Jacinda Ardern’s Kindness & Empathy Mission

Walls is so full of himself – so emphatic and disgruntled even disgusted, at Dame Jacinda having a new job and hates her like a noxious gossiping neighbour would hate someone who simply disagreed and then rose in status for not knowing ‘her place’!

    • Greywarbler Kind persons don’t have to go around telling people that they’re kind. New Zealand’s geographical isolation and small population contributed majorly to keeping the covid death toll down.

      • And because certain restrictions were put in place. Had that not happened, it would have been open slather. Our isolation wouldn’t have cut it with plane loads arriving every day.

It follows that if kind people don’t have to go round telling people they are kind, that people who know how to run the economy, don’t have to go round telling people they know best about running the economy.

      • Don’t know what you are on about. Kind people live that way in their actions, which must always be governed by what is practical and should be fair.. No-one should be smothered by kindness, In the case of Covid it was a decision by NZ Labour government to attempt the practical thing with a kind intent.

But along the lines of implementation and understanding some unreasonable things were done that were not practical and that outweighed the kindness. It however was an unprecedented emergency. Some Kiwis wouldn’t understand reasonable practicality if it bit them in the bum.

      • Wheel, they have enacted what they campaigned on…what more from a political party do you want?
Co-governance/3 waters introduced by Labour and not campaigned on, not even discussed.
They were quite rightly kicked out of government.
Frustrating for you guys seeing the polling and it’s not changed much from election night, this is because the voters have no reason yet to change sides as the 3 parties in government have implemented what they said they would and the voters are happy with it thus far.
See the difference Wheel?…..probably not, and it’s why the left will be out of government for the next 6-9yrs.
