Why NZ Medicinal Cannabis is a joke & why we should decriminalize cannabis to punish NZ

Medical cannabis offers help for child conditions, but cost out of reach for many

Cannabidiol (CBD) products are a medicinal cannabis product that contains little-to-no psychoactive substances. They are typically available as capsules or oral liquid.

Medical cannabis has been legal in New Zealand since 2018, and the government’s medical cannabis scheme came into force last April. The scheme allows health professionals to prescribe cannabis-based medicine.

The scheme was also meant to increase the availability and lower the cost of these products.

However, New Zealand’s regulatory benchmark for imported medicinal cannabis products is high, which has a knock-on effect on costs, said Dr Waseem Alzaher, founder of the Auckland-based Cannabis Clinic, where a team of doctors can prescribe medical cannabis products after a consultation.

Medicinal Cannabis is a joke in New Zealand.

It has been set up for the pharmaceutical industry to sell their synthetic THC products rather than home grown loose leaf cannabis and that allows the big players to dominate while the local market loose leaf cannabis rots.

We have a solution right in front of us in the form of raw bud cannabis but because of the bullshit nature of NZ, our local solution isn’t allowed.

Currently the Greens, National and Labour are all scrambling to hide their cowardice over the Cannabis referendum and are talking about decriminalisation as a way forward…

Labour would let MPs vote freely on cannabis decriminalisation, opening up narrow path for possible law change

Justice Minister Kris Faafoi says the Government has no intention of pushing forward with cannabis decriminalisation – but his party would allow their MPs to vote freely on the matter if it came up as a members’ bill.

This opens up a narrow path for some form of decriminalisation of cannabis, despite the narrow loss for legalisation at last year’s referendum.

Faafoi made his comments after a new poll showed some form of decriminalisationhad strong majority support – with 49 per cent backing full legalisation and 20 per cent backing just decriminalisation.

…here’s what I say.

Fuck em.

Decriminalisation is actually the worst of all worlds.

On the one hand you get no taxation revenue to pay for drug rehabilitation programs and general taxation for public services.

On the other hand you explode the profits of organised crime because Police can’t threaten anything more than a fine on end users.

So I say allow the spineless politicians to cook up and pass a bullshit decriminalisation law to punish NZ for their half arsed war on drugs bullshit.

Watch gang profits explode while you get nothing to pay for the damage.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

Dumb kiwis.

  1. Couldn’t agree more, cannabis and hemp are the solutions to so many of of the problems that beset us, but our shit politicians suckle from the teat of big pharma, sugar, tabacco and alcohol in fear that they may lose their salary’s. Refer madness was shown to be fake news 50 yrs ago but it’s still the playbook for these morons. Doctors are supposed to work in our interests but they continue to do us harm. Meanwhile the government funds adds to promote tabacco, smoking it or vaping, it’s still an addictive drug that does the body harm, your not going to look healthier until you stop sucking on that shit in any form, even thou the sign on the local dairy tell me ” it’s time to relax “, “smooth as a breeze “.

  2. The comments about flower are unfortunately misguided. Flower will be the first New Zealand products to hit shelves.

We have NZ’s first flower test shipment on its way in April for two approved patients.

Would love to speak to you further about some ridiculous parts of the regulations that are keeping prices high and product availability low.

  3. And the dumbist are who? I believe they are the same ones that voted for euthanasia. We have some very selfish judgemental people in this country. Too many sick NZers have no choice but to go to the green fairies.
We should have a least decriminalised by now.

  4. You’re just upset you lost. Understandable. But at this point decriminalisation is a no brainer. It would be a disaster to peace loving kiwis if the government started getting involved in marijuana (yes I fuckn said it) production and quality control. As for organised crime, happy to support them in this case. It seems the law has given them free reign anyway.

  5. We dont want decrim – its still illegal, the cops can still take your gear, there is no retail, there is no control or regulation, drug dealers will still operate, you dont depower the gangs, not a damn thing actually gets fixed. The only difference is you get a fine rather than a conviction. But if you decided to grow your own, its still conviction!
