Ok, let’s investigate the US fraud allegations of a Mad King

Let me be as perfectly clear as I can be.

Yes.

There was systemic wide spread voter fraud in the US Election.

BUT

Not in any way shape or form that Trump is bitching about, oh no, as investigative journalist Greg Palast has been exposing for decades now, the systemic wide spread voter fraud in America occurs when Republicans purge the voting polls…

ACLU, GA Releases Palast Fund ‘Georgia Voter Purge Errors’ Report
State Likely Removed Nearly 200,000 Citizens from the Voter Rolls

Today, the ACLU of Georgia released a report by the Palast Investigative Fund titled Georgia Voter Roll Purge Errors that concluded the State had likely removed in 2019 the voter registrations of nearly 200,000 Georgia citizens on the grounds that they had moved from the address on their voter registration application. However, none of these citizens had moved, according to Advanced Address List Hygiene. Unsurprisingly, the state’s removals will likely affect the most vulnerable: young voters, voters of lower income, and citizens of racial groups that have been denied their sacred right to vote in the past. Members of the Georgia General Assembly must rectify this egregious error.

…that’s right. The fraud here is the despicable manner in which Republicans purge voting rolls before the bloody votes are even cast!

Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud and rigged elections are utter bullshit and there is no veracity or evidence to suggest that any of the tiny breaches Fox News have managed to drag into the light would have impacted  the overall result in any meaningful way.

The danger here is that Trump’s lies and false claims will give his armed militia supporters some sense of misplaced righteousness and if that manufactured grievance is sparked by some footage of Antifa or BLM beating the shit out of some white Trump supporter you have all the ingredients of mass civil unrest which could be exploited by Trump in some desperate last minute attempt to steal the election by demanding Republican State Legislatures overturn the popular vote and elect Trump instead.

The outrage here is that yes, there is wide spread systemic voter fraud, but it’s the Republicans purging black voters from voter polls that is the crime, not the popular will of the people to vote Trump out. Unfortunately Trump supporters are so in thrall with their cult leader, they are unable to process this truth and are open to be exploited by the mad King is his last desperate stand.

  1. There is gamesmanship on both sides and part of the convoluted way of governance inherent in USA. Vote/Ballot harvesting is a pet hate of mine. Call me a traditionalist however (caveat: assuming there is no vote suppression) I do believe you should have to get off your arse to vote and at least show a degree of effort/care.

This election cycle in all democracies has been fucked over by covid although I am wary of progressively making voting systems easier and more vulnerable to fraud. It makes these types of scenarios more prevalent in a world when ‘time to decision’ is becoming faster. A cognisant dissonance that into the medium will create more angst than problems that it solves.

    • ” I do believe you should have to get off your arse to vote”

Can you please quantify the difference in exertion between a trip to the polling booth to vote vs a trip to the post office or drop box to cast a vote that would satisfy your personal criteria of “getting off your arse”.

      • For clarity I believe you should have to physically go to a polling both to vote unless there is a very real and reasonable reason why you can’t (i.e in hospital/don’t have an ability to get there etc). Yes, yes I know opening a pandora’s box in regards to hypotheticals challenging my view.

        • You haven’t clarified anything, – why is it more valid “to physically go to a polling both to vote” than to physically go to a post office or drop box to vote?
You appear to make some sort of peculiar distinction, I’m interested in your rationale.

      • Wasn’t there just one drop off point for early voting papers in a Texas County that had 5 or so million residents in an area bigger than greater Auckland or something?

  2. I get the feeling that everybody inside and outside the USA knows that this election was rigged from the moment Trump won in 2016. The grandees of both the Dems and Reps wanted the outsider interloper gone as did the corporate bosses, Silicon Valley, Wall St, the security state, the major papers and cable news barons.

For four years Left, Right, everybody with money and influence have fired baseless allegations at an elected president. It saddens me that the vast majority bought this hook line and sinker, braying agreement like Jack asses. They (you) all had plenty of real reasons to object to Trump without throwing their lot in with the very same people who have hogged the money and impoverished the people, fed the imperial wars. Who noticed that Trump never began a new war, unlike his last dozen predecessors?

Getting rid of Trump is one thing, four years were wasted by the Left in not cleaning out their house and giving Americans a real candidate for President. Somebody who the “deplorables” could vote for. Half the electorate just voted to reject the one percent, now will begin four years where they mirror the way Trump was maligned. Worry more that as Biden and Harris fail that Trump will endorse a far right nasty type who will carry the masses. Such is the end result of the Lefts inability to see who their real enemies are.
