Dotcom Supreme Court judgment out 11am

The most important legal decision in NZ modern history with the most extreme ramifications is due out 11am today.

I’ve detailed the issues the Kim Dotcom case throws up here, including the injustice of the case, the corrupt influence of Corporate Hollywood and the costs we may be on the hook for.

As soon as the result is out I will blog it.

  1. If NZ Supreme Court Justices Winkelmann, Young, Glazebrook, O’Regan, France and Williams want early retirement…then finding in Kim’s favour should achieve that for them! The NZ ruling class and shadowy dodge pots of the the various security services have a lot riding on this case.

    New Minister Kris Faafoi will have final say if extradition to the US is supported by the Court. Who knows which way Mr Faafoi would jump, not me. I was pretty sure Andrew Little would have supported extradition. The SIS and 5 Eyes people move quickly to embrace and capture top Labour Ministers, and Prime Ministers in particular when it suits them, other times they deal to them, as per Phil Goff.

    Notwithstanding all that, it would make my day if Kim Dot Com wins.

      Lange lacked the courage even for that, as I recall. As I remember events, Lange rendered himself incommunicado, do to speak, on some remote Pacific island, and left Geoff Palmer (I think) holding the political baby.

      So no: I hold out no hope at all that Faafoi will exhibit courage over this situation.

  5. He will be murdered if extradited, mark my words. K.Dot actually was one of the individuals who discovered that the worst case of espionage in the US was being treated as a mishandled mailbox.

  6. The other thing, is that due to the NZ legal system bungling and illegal practises so far in NZ and that government ‘guarentee’ , is seems like everyone already knows the outcome for Dotcom in the NZ justice system, before it is released.
