Hopefully I don’t need to pick out various excerpts to demonstrate how INZ/MBIE is the enabler of all this sort of shit, and it goes far deeper than the perceptions of “its just s few bloody immigrants ripping off their own”. I’d almost put money on the spokeswoman for MBIE being Nicola Somebody or other – a thoroughly thoroughly nice person I’m sure with an impressive C.V to match with vast experience in the art of spin and risk management – especially electronically driven algorithmic risk management.
Could be wrong of course – no doubt there are a few clones by now, and if there are – please (MBIE) let us know so we can update our spreadsheets – and given your contracts with private IT experts showing the ways of pretending to be people you aren’t – just pretend the information hasn’t come from you.
There is this little gem though from Minister f-f-f-f-f-f f-f-f-f-f-f f-f-f-f-ffffffffFaafoi:

Obviously Faafoi isn’t a student of History and he has a very short memory (one that only extends to immediately after the last fuckup).
Unfortunately Labour’s competent Ministerial workforce are already overwhelmed on other things (the Little’s, the Woods, the Hipkins, 3 or 4 others, and indeed the Head Honchess herself)
All this sort of shit isn’t going away. Simply ‘managing out’ a token (scum, and really rather fik as pigshit) racist isn’t going to cut it.
Let’s hope that after the election with a Labour (and hopefully Green) win, the gummint will actually make progress with various necessary reforms if they ever want to be taken seriously in future. (And that’s aside from various ‘risks’ they’re opening themselves up to – in this space, going forward)
If they need a bit of practice in public service reform, they could probably start with MBIE – it’d be the easiest bugger’s muddle, followed by MSD, OT and various other little feifdoms and trougher’s Paradisos
