WAATEA NEWS COLUMN: Marae & RSA should be resourced as the new front line in climate change
When disaster hits, it’s not politicians on the frontline — it’s marae. The question is why we’re still not funding them like it.

Oh yeah, political wrap of the week, working on some new political rap songs, hope a few will be good enough to make it onto your show.
Just get rid of Andrew Little and it would have been fine. Remember it was Labour who bought neo-liberalism to this country and still are mad advocates of it.
Any chance, any news service ever would be brave enough to have people on panels who are actually living some of this shit. Easy to be concerned living in your middle class house, not your life on the line, like mine is.
Time you stepped into the 21st century. Obviously you haven’t been a regular watching this show or else you wouldnt have made such an ignorant and uniformed comment, and imho I would like to see more of Andrew Little on here.
Great Show again Martyn,
You are a breath of fresh air – to our now tortured minds constantly harassed by insulting edits of foreign feeds of rubbsh and no other constructive criticism of the world we now see as decaying before our eyes.
While no morality exists amongst the heads of global leaders nor in our country, and no govermment or Corporate good fellowship evident now.
You are the only channel now who want to bring some sanity to what we see happening and are troubled by it all.
At least we all here have some conscience.
Totally agree with you Cleangreen.
Great viewing. Congratulations to Bryan Bruce – I even waved my boycott of TV3 news to watch your doco – it was fantastic.
I can’t believe that half the expected surplus is debt from beneficiaries – did I hear that right? Unbelievable.
This sort of analysis is just not getting out to the public.
One of the best panels yet. Pity about parliamentary IT – probably got a crony in to sort their Skype – must be part of National’s promised roll out of fast broadband. cough.
Funny how Skype from parliament hadn’t been an issue before, but when Andrew Little came on, voila! every time he spoke there was interference. Andrew Little made a point that next time he should be there in the studio!!
