He wanted Venezuela, Iran and Cuba as scalps to parade in front of the American people like some great conquering hero, unfortunately Trump utterly miscomprehended who he was dealing with in Iran!
He thought the Iranians were as easy to bribe and bully as corrupt Revolutionary Mafia in Venezuela when in fact he is dealing with a Theocracy staffed by zealots who all welcome death.
You can’t bully or bribe true believers.
Iran’s only red line was ‘don’t kill our holy men’, and what did America and Israel do right after bombing that Iranian girls school and massacring 165 little school girls? Why they assassinated the Ayatollah and all his advisors who were meeting, remember, to discuss the American peace deal.
We killed an aging Ayatollah and replaced him with a much younger hardline Ayatollah, who by the way, we just killed most of his family.
