I wasn’t going to respond Sinic but I want to be clear. I’m not shocked by you, I’m disgusted. So your dry sense of humour and empathetic worldview would think it funny if someone suggested a female former labour’s party leader should be the next to be kidnapped , murdered and dumped somewhere? And while we’re at at, I don’t know you and you don’t know me. Therefore I suggest you be disgusted with those who actually do heinous things. A woman was murdered doing her job as an RE agent. It’s horrific. But I’m not involved. Lot’s of women are raped, assaulted, murdered every day. Why is this one sooooo important to you Ian?

It’s a funnies column and I have a very dry sense of humour, as well as EMPATHY in spades. The latter is not always apparent in brief comments. Sorry to have shocked you, but life’s like that ya know
Sinic You We tend here to be sharp and critical in our comments. But when we make them we have to bear in mind the group we associate with, and that we are trying for a better way and decide how to demonstrate that.
We don’t have to dampen down everything to submit to ‘polite’ behaviour but I think we do have to see the wider view – concentrate on how to avoid the wrongdoing. Any dullwit can just swear about and to bad people; bad behaviour. But what to do to PREVENT it? And it usually is a mark of a lack in societal guidance and modelling of ethical, moral, respectful, fair behaviour.
