The Government is in the final stages of considering its social media ban for under 16s, with the final Cabinet paper to be considered in the next couple of weeks.
The UK government announced on Monday it would mirror Australia’s ban with the move to take effect from early next year.

TBH, I don’t know if a society dominated by the tech bros is actually worse by than a society with a panopticonic government directed by ideologues.
At least with Google/Meta/youtube/instagram/tiktok, I can turn them off or take a break, do something else.
I don’t get the choice with governments- if they decide to ration petrol, ban cage eggs, ban free speech and assembly ‘for the greater good’, there’s nothing I can do.
