Imagine If Winston had said this instead?

Winston met with Rubio hours before Trump backed down on his promise to commit genocide against a 7,000-year-old civilisation.

Imagine if instead of grovelling to the yanks, Winston had admonished them and called on them to stand up to the values we have previously respected them for!

What if instead of grovelling, he said:

‘NZ and America are mates, and being a mate is very important in NZ society and when you are a mate, you speak truth to your friend.

Violence is no way forward, diplomacy is where we settle our issues with one another. The Rules Based Order is the only way forward.

What is the most important thing?

The People, the People, the People.

We call on America to step up, not punch down”. 

 

Winston would have been the last world leader America met before Trump called the strike off.

Winston would have been celebrated as a global statesman whose words would have echoed through history.

What did we get instead? The quisling words of a cowardly goon.

What a wasted opportunity for NZ to have shined on the global stage.
