Chris Finlayson has more fight in him than the entire current National Caucus combined for a reason

Former National MP Chris Finlayson calls for ‘war’ on NZ First
A former high-ranking National Cabinet minister has doubts the coalition will last until the election, urging his former party to “extricate themselves from this grisly coalition and declare war on New Zealand First”.
And Chris Finlayson has doubts the coalition, made up of National, NZ First and ACT, will make it to the election campaign intact.

Chris Finlayson has more fight in him than the entire current National Caucus combined for a reason.
Chris actually believes in political philosophical values and that is the fundamental difference between him and the current lot.
The current lot are politically shallow and see themselves not as guardians to philosophical values, but as mere vassals to whatever their donors interests are.
National has stopped being a political philosophical movement, it is simply a means for the rich to buy legislation, and when you are bought and paid for, you have no actual electoral reason to exist other than to implement deregulation policy for your donors.
That’s why Chris has the actual strength to stand against NZ First, where as the others in National bend the knee.
Chris Finlayson believes in something.
I’d say that was true of only a handful of National MPs (Gerry Brownlee, Nicola Willis and Chris Penk are the others).
Winston metaphorically firebombed the PMs electoral office last week and the PM is too weak to stop him.

Had Chris Finlayson still been an MP, we wouldn’t have had to put up with Luxon who would (and should) never have made the grade! Finlayson has been the only genuine guiding light this party has ever produced. The rest are there to feather their own nests – a malevolent bunch of “no hopers” and instead of well constructed policies, offer monetary gains for their “greedy” minority. Of course this current abysmal CoC will ignore the advice and warning from Finlayson as they continue down the road to nowhere, destroying NZ in their wake. One would hope Kiwi voters are smarter and we shall soon see whether common sense or greed win in the end!!!
