NZ First Donors Push Racing Industry Tax Breaks
When major donors to a political party start publicly arguing their struggling industry needs tax breaks — and the party leader just happens to be the minister responsible for that industry — New Zealanders are right to start asking uncomfortable questions about influence, lobbying and whose interests really shape Government policy.
A leaked report completed for TAB New Zealand by racing insiders says the horse racing industry is “unsustainable” without further tax breaks.
It also recommends allowing TAB NZ to run online casinos, shifting the cost of the industry’s integrity board to the Government and making structural changes, including consolidating property ownership and management.
Winston Peters is currently the Minister for Racing and the report will eventually be considered by him. He is also the leader of New Zealand First.

On Te Ao with Moana on Māori TV, Winston Peters claimed that he needed nine years to repair the damage Labour caused.
I think nine years of NZ First would see NZ become one giant open mine with a race track on the lip and a bottom trawling net connected all the way to the Cook Islands with fish that are forced to smoke cigarettes.

The crony capitalism that NZ First represents where legislation is bought and paid for means it’s always NZ Last with Winston and Donors First.
So, if his beloved racing industry (who donate to his party) needs a tax break, you know one is coming.
What should worry us more about the broader onslaught of the siege of the MMP mafia is our complete ignorance about the same. People still think Labour is that. It isn’t. So when people talk about governance I must ask, what governance, you fucking morons? Horse racing..?
Our entire politic must be audited then re written. We must go back to first past the post elections and voting must be made compulsory or we will lose our country to hyper rich manipulators, some of whom are already here.

A paper published by the Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom has identified five countries in geographical locations with “favourable starting conditions” that may allow them to be less touched by the effects of climate change: New Zealand, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Ireland. The results are based on the analysis of the countries’ carrying capacity – refers to a species’ average population size in a particular habitat, isolation, and self-sufficiency.

These are the same people who are destroying racing in NZ by making it for the rich pricks .They are now panicking because they can see it crashing in the next five years .They got massive tax and depreciation cuts for stallions and now want the same for the rest of their stock .Entain has pumped millions into stakes increases which will stop in 2 years time and there will be a massive crash .These people are selling well bred mares off shore as fast as they can ,there by depleting future brood mare numbers which are already half of what they were 2 years ago .
Winston, another slimey operator with ulterior motives! If anyone should be given better tax breaks, it should be those whose income can no longer pay their outgoing expenses! Already with him closing down greyhound racing he now has their funds as well. Again the huge gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots nots’ becomes larger by the day, but the ‘I’m ok brigade’ couldn’t give a damn!
