Social Media results are in – Jacinda wins her first week, NZ First beat Greens and TOP out rates National
Lots to chew over.
…the fact that Jacinda, she can announce a nothing Transport policy that promises something a decade earlier than the 30 years away that National are offering and be greeted with cheering crowds is the difference.
Jacinda’s announcement is of course a wasted opportunity because all Labour are doing here is gentrifying the public transport system faster than National will. It’ll go down like a drunk in a brewery with the train spotter anorak club at Greater Auckland but if all Labour are offering is a gentrified public transport system so Simon Wilson doesn’t have to have smelly poor people rubbing up against his corduroy jacket it’s a wasted opportunity.
Look how many people the following image has reached on Facebook…
Watching the Kelvin Davis and Jacinda tango on the weekend current affairs shows was insightful. While it’s nice to have a new tune to groove to, it is also horrifying that they are copying the exact same dance moves as National.
…if the papers reveal a plot to assassinate its own President, in one move Trump could kill off any loyalty to the Republic and replace it with himself. Previous Presidents might have decided that such information would be too destructive to the establishment to ever release, Trump wouldn’t care.
This highlights the deplorable double standards of NZ political media, and it sickens me that Metiria has had to twist in the wind for the courage of speaking up for those vulnerable NZers who are abused, damaged, harassed, frightened, hurt and broken by WINZ, Ministry for making Vulnerable Children, Corrections, Probations, Housing NZ and MSD staff every day.
Thank God for that, Metiria is not falling on Mike Hosking’s or Patrick Gower’s sword and resigning, she has fallen on her pen and ruled herself out from a Ministerial role in the next Government.
His bitterness that despite all his stomping and screaming over Metiria amounted to the Greens going higher than they ever have before in the polls has created a Hosking even more bitter and venomous than usual.
The double standards of journalism on display here attacking Metiria for events 2 decades old when we have actual abuses of real political power sitting naked without any investigation by the Newshub says more about the kind of ethically bankrupt watchdogs running that news service than it does about Metiria.
