Japan adopts negative percent interest rates. Economists have been proposing this for years and Japan has once again led the way like they did with QE.
Over 7 years the Federal Reserve printed $4.5 trillion, or ~$650 billion per year. Japan is printing that much with an economy 1/4 the size.
The Bank of Japan is pretty desperate. But hey, our Japanese imports just got cheaper.
