  1. Let’s be glad the boats won’t be named “Winston ” and “Shane”.
    I’m sure they considered it.

  2. Whats the point of naming something that does not exist .All I want to know is what they will cost and when will they get here .Reading between the lines we will not be owning them and they will be privately run after a short time under Kiwi rail .The dumb media were building it up as a massive announcement from the government as though they would be telling us the price .A total waste of media time .
Only report when something is for real not just another smoke screen

  3. And let us not forget the whopping $640million dollar cancellation fine incurred because the utterly stupid, incompetent, petulant, spiteful Nikki-no- Boats Willis, in a fit of peak…backed by the equally stupid Luxon and Seymour… decided to pull the pin on the deal of the century for no good reason and with no plan B …

That’s nearly 3/4 of a $Billion dollars squandered….gone…down the swanny….. having to be forked out by the hardworking taxpayers of New Zealand for absolute zero return…what a waste of money….money that could’ve been spent on hospitals schools and state houses etc.

This is what amateur hour looks like ! A Ferry named Cook… sailing on Cook Strait to Wellington just 2 1/2hours drive south of Cooks Gardens in Whanganui. and 8 hours drive south of Cooks Beach and 12hours Drive North of Mt Cook…

    How original…how boring!

I think we all get the message….more Kiwi cringe…the tourists be be laughing at our lack of imagination.

      1. The slack is the name ‘Cook’ for a ferry you may as well go all out slack and name the other one ‘Yeah Nah’!
