  1. The Peters trash party and ACT are well on the way to leading NZ down this path .All they need is a scapegoat and off they will go .
    God help us .

  2. Echoes of history.

    In 1938, a German embassy staffer in Paris was assassinated by Herschel Grynszpan, a 17-year-old German-Jewish illegal immigrant living in France.
    Herschel Grynszpan was born and raised in Germany by Polish Jewish immigrants but never allowed a German passport. Herscel had never lived in Poland or as is far as is known never even visited Poland and was not fluent in Polish, his first language being German.
    After illegally entering France, never having the papers to apply for work Herschel Grynszpan was stateless and unemployed, living on the charity of friends and supporters. Herschel received a letter from Germany that his parents had been detained as illegal immigrants in Germany, and were being held in a detention centre for illegal Polish immigrants on the German Polish border. Incensed Herschel bought a pistol with the intention of killing Johannes von Welczeck. the German ambassador to France, but ended up taking the life of German embassy staffer, Ernst vom Rath.
    Vom Rath’s murder was weaponized by the far right German Nazi party led by Adolf Hitler to incite a pogrom against the Jewish population living in Germany.
    Thousands of Jewish-owned businesses, were burned or vandalized in what became known as, ‘The Night of Broken Glass’.

    Belfast’s Night of Broken Glass

    The knife attack by a Sudanese Immigrant in Belfast has been weaponised by the UK Reform party led by Nigel Farage and the Restore Britain party led by Rupert Lowe to incite a pogrom against immigrant families in Belfast.

    Owen Jones on YouTube @0:1010 seconds:
    “…..This was a pogram. Families with little children had to be rescued from homes which were burning because far right racists had set them on fire. These thugs went from door to door to see if there were migrant families in them, kicking down doors. They stopped cars to see if there were any migrants in them. They burned cars and businesses. This was violence and mayhem whipped up by Reform, by Restore, by the Conservative Party, by the media, and by Elon Musk and his “ex”…..

    …..Unrest also broke out last night in Glasgow safter mass protesters marched through the city center chanting, quote; “White Lives Matter”.
    According to police Scotland, three members of the public were attacked because of the color of their skin and worshippers had to be locked in a mosque for their own protection……

    Are we next?

    Right wing parties like New Zealand First led by Winston Peters don’t want to talk about the issues that concern New Zealanders, like the cost of living or the housing crisis, Winston Peters wants us to steer us into arguing, “What is a woman?”
    More dangerously to avoid talking about what really upsets people, Peters wants to stir voters up on his favourite diversionary scapegoat “immigrants”.
    Right wing parties ACT and National feeling declining poll numbers compete with Peters to be more punitive toward immigrants.

    From the Spinoff:
    Our politicians are really fired up on immigration. But what about voters?
    Polling shows voters may have a different view of immigration than recent political rhetoric would suggest.

    …..New Zealand First, seizing on the free-trade agreement with India and reprising the sort of “Asian invasion” rhetoric it debuted in the 1990s, set the ball rolling with Winston Peters’ speeches warning of “loose immigration” and “mass immigration”, “unfettered immigration” and “massive immigration”.
    A few days later, Act announced its immigration policy, which includes changes to the “skilled migrant” category and a daily $6 fee for migrant workers to fund infrastructure. It prompted many, including the immigration minister, to speculate that the party was playing catch-up with New Zealand First’s anti-immigration platform. “It certainly feels like it,” said Erica Stanford, who saw streaks of “populist” and “kneejerk” policy in Act’s announcement. She judged that Seymour “hasn’t thought this through very well”, adding: “That’s a little bit typical sometimes.”
    In a pre-budget speech, Christopher Luxon indicated that immigration was likely to be front and centre in the approaching campaign. “It’s an issue we’ll watch closely, and you should expect to see careful policy on immigration from National as we get closer to the election,” he said. “And my message to the business community is that when it comes to immigration, when faced with a choice between social stability and your bottom line, I will choose the former every single time.”
    Peters, speaking in west Auckland last Sunday, suggested the others were marching to his beat. “Mr Luxon? He did a speech the other day as leader of the National Party talking about his concern about immigration,” he said. “Wow! Where did you get this 11th-hour experience? This road to Damascus epiphany? And Seymour – he made a similar speech.”
    Speaking on Newstalk ZB last week, the prime minister had a dig back. “I think there’s a bit of anti-immigration cosplay going on where some politicians are pretending to be Trump or Farage or Le Pen,” he said, noting “remarks from Winston for example.” He added: “We don’t have uncontrolled or illegal immigration in this country.”
    Why the surge in immigration talk? Politicians are evidently exercised about the issue, but are voters? How strong is the sentiment, and what is the ceiling for the anti-immigration vote? The most recent Ipsos Issues Monitor puts immigration a good way down the list, tied in 11th, with just 8% in February picking it as one of their three biggest concerns…..

    It is clear that our right wing political parties are trying to steer New Zealanders into scapegoating minorities as a convenient whipping boy for their failed policies.
    What is also clear is that this diversionary scapegoating is not yet gaining the traction with voters they want.

    But…..

    What if some immigrant commits some awful crime?

    What if our right wing political parties weaponise this crime committed by an immigrant to whip up a racist frenzy?

    Will New Zealanders fall for this right wing tactic?

    What will be the opposition party’s response?

    Are we next?

    1. The hypocrisy of violent thugs rioting against violence committed by immigrants has been revealed by tha fact that the men arrested and convicted for riotiing in Southampton, were revealed as having previous convictions for committing violent crimes and assaults, including sexual assault.
      But the common thread is this; An underclass of violent men were incited against immigrants by Right Wing political leaders, and media influencers. No riots were stirred up by these Right Wingers when horrific crimes were committed by white people.

      Right Wing politicians have no answer to the excesses of capitalism, and even less will to address them.
      Inflation, unemployment, homelessness, inequality, war, pollution, climate change, the right can give no coherent answer to these problems.
      Jews, Blacks, Immigrants, Muslims, have been targets of scapegoating by the Right as a diversionsty tactic.
      Down through history, the Far Right, (with the complicity and permission of the Centre Right), the have inflamed and incited attacks on minorities, to turn attention away from the Right Wing parties’ lack of answers to the periodic economic recessions depressions that rack capitalism and afflict working class people.
      Right wing leaders of Far Right and Centre Right parties seek to blame minorities for the lack of opportunity and jobs, for failing public hospitals, for unaffordable housing. the blame for all these ills are heaped on the back of minorities least responsible for them.

      @0:17 minutes:
      …..Yesterday [five men] were jailed for violent disorder. This included offenses such as using a dog lead with a metal clip as a makeshift knuckle duster, throwing missiles at police officers, and pushing a burning bin towards the police.
      In sentencing, the judge said that the men were motivated by hostility towards police and in some cases the racist views that they held.
      The murder of Henry Novak prompted widespread outcry due to the callous response of the police at the scene. The accusation that they were too quick to believe false allegations of racism, and perceptions that white people have become racially discriminated against. It’s something we hear from the Far Right again and again;
      “Immigrants and their descendants are violent.” – “They don’t hold the same values as the rest of us”, etc., etc. – And, “Perfectly decent people have just become justifiably angry.”
      So, let’s take a look….
      …..Dillian Crawford, aged 29, had 19 previous convictions covering 33 offenses. In one previous case, he assaulted his partner, knocking her unconscious and breaking her front teeth before telling her that he had put bleach in her hair. He was ssentenced to 3 years.
      Daniel Frost had 25 criminal convictions, including for possession of a bladed weapon, burglary, and mugging an 80year-old woman. He was jailed for 2 years and 4 months.
      Andrew Summer Hayes had 25 convictions, including racially aggravated offenses against police.
      Taylor Grundy had two previous convictions and was currently on community order for driving while disqualified…..
      ….only one of their five men jailed for the part in the Southampton riots, Ree Robinson, didn’t have any [previous] criminal convictions…..
      …… It seems the same people who say that migration breeds criminality and violence have themselves long have records of criminality and violence.
      Conor McGregor, the Irish MMA fighter, has in recent years reinvented himself as a prominent voice speaking out against immigration. His posts on Twitter have fixated on violent crimes committed by migrants. McGregor himself has twice been convicted of assault, once pleading guilty and once no contest. Perhaps more important, in 2024, he was found civily liable by a jury for a rape alleged to have taken place in 2018. Nikita Hand was left bruised and scratched by the assault which included being placed in a chokehold. Though he has denied all wrongdoing, and the authorities declined to pursue a criminal case, citing lack of sufficient evidence. McGregor was ordered to pay nearly million euros in damages to Hand. Others have pointed out the irony of a man who was found civily liable for rape, waxing lyrical about the dangers of violent migrants…..
      ……While encouraging others to take to the streets in the north of Ireland, Tommy Robinson [England’s Far Right leader] is currently in Russia paying a visit to Elon Musk’s father, Errol. The Far Right figure had filmed a video of himself with Musk, seemingly in a Moscow hotel…..
      …..Tommy Robinson is another one whom for years has couched anti-Muslim and anti-migrant rhetoric within the call to quote protect women and girls.
      Errol Musk, a South African businessman, [father of the world’s only trillionaire] has been subject to an allegation of sexual abuse from within his own family……
      ….The earliest was in 1993 when Errol Musk’s stepdaughter, then four years old, told relatives he had touched her at the family house. A decade later, the step caught him sniffing her dirty underwear.
      Some family members have accused Errol Musk of abusing two of his daughters and a stepson. And as recently as 2023, family members and a social worker attempted to intervene after his then 5-year-old son said his father had groped his buttocks.
      The abuse allegations have caused strife within the Musk family, with some relatives turning to Elon Musk, who was Errol Musk’s eldest child, for help.
      Around 2010, one relative wrote Elon Musk a five-page letter about some of the accusations and implored him to intervene. We really need your advice, help, and guidance in these matters because we daily see these children suffer, the relative wrote in the letter, which was viewed by the [Nrw York] Times.;;;
      …..Police and court records show that three separate investigations were launched. Two were closed, while the outcome of the third, according to the New York Times, is unclear. Errol Musk, 79, has not been convicted of a crime. He says the allegations reported by the Times are out of hand, telling the publication they were false.
      The point is this;
      Errol Musk and Conor McGregor both have been accused of serious sexual violence. Precisely the same issue that the far right claim to care so much about. And yet both have been embraced by anti-immigrant activists…..
      What accounts for the cognitive dissonance that means someone with violent convictions can go out on the streets of Southampton and protest against immigrant criminality?
      There’s no reconciling these things. It is just intrinsically incoherent.
      There is an explanation for why this incoherence exists, but but there’s no reconciling it, nothing justifies it….
      …..The really striking thing for me is this idea that uh I’m sure all of those uh men who were sentenced in Southampton in some sense thought of themselves as standing up for the white working class in Britain, for Britain’s working people um who are subject to two-tier policing and whatever from from the police……
      And a lot of that support comes from the media, the media knows that if you put these kinds of stories involving people who sare black or brown or who are migrants or asylum seekers if you center those stories people are really really interested and the interest grows……
      …..we don’t see this kind of violence when when it’s, you know, a white rapist or when which you know is really frequent or partly because it doesn’t get the attention that these cases get
      These cases get the attention because there is this growing appetite for which is in a kind of uh cyclical way fed by the media who I think behave irresponsibly over it.
      And it gives permission for for a certain kind of violence among some people, and is also easily fed and those things together are a tinder box…..>/i>

      The question I have for our Right Wing media pundits and polticians, is this;

      If a horrific crime, like a stabbing or murder is committed by an immigrant, or other person from a minority group, leading up to the elections, will you irresponsibly seek to weaponise it for political gain?

  3. “capitalism that degrades people to the cheapest cost unit is.”

    capitalism demands cheapest cost unit, over-immigration

    the left demands tension building ghettoised multi-culturalism rather than slow peaceful wealth building immigrant assimilation
