The NZ First Cavalcade of Political Circus Freaks

The existing NZ First Caucus is already a gallery of rogues.

Race-baiting Winston may be the King, but he’s barely the greatest political mutant in his team.

Dr Pork Matua Shane Jones should have a Honorary phd in graft, but keep digging and there is the corporate lobbyist for cancer, Casey Costello, anti-Trans crusader Jenny Marcoft, failed Wellington Politician Andy Foster and the glorious weirdness of Tanya Unkovich who quit the Party to ‘serve humanity’.

As wild a ride as that is, NZ First has also corralled Trashy Nashy, heavily concussed former All Black Tane Randell, and now former Conservative Party Leader Colin Craig and Hobson’s Pledge cross burner Elliot Ikilei.

It’s less a Party at this stage and more a cavalcade of Political Circus Freaks.

NZ First are generating the momentum they have in the Polls because culture war revenge fantasies, driven by social media hate algorithms, are recruiting the lonely, angry and disconnected.

Winston has the capacity to tap into sub-5% threshold fringe voters with trigger words like ‘globalist’ and by attacking the WHO.

For the rest of us this is demented, to the feral conspiracy swamp so many have rabbit-holed into, Winston’s words are manna from heaven.

It’s a trick Farage, Trump and Pauline Hanson have perfected.

So Winston scoops up voters no one else is targeting, his rise is the mutiny of Gumboot Fascism.

This generates a real problem for National who are being assaulted by ACT and Winston because not every National voter is a raving racist fanatic. Many are cosmopolitan urbanites who are as horrified by Luxon’s spinelessness on race relations as we are.

These National voters wanted their house price to go up 10%, they didn’t want a race war!

For them, more race baiting by Winston and Seymour (enabled by Luxon) is the kiss of death.

For these voters, they can’t vote Greens and won’t vote Labour, but they most certainly could vote TOP.

NZ First hate trolls are the perfect advert to show voters sitting on the fence why they should pick a side. NZ First supporters are book burners in the truest sense of the meaning, they need to be shunned and shown contempt.

Celebrate them, and you’re helping burn down your own democracy.

Winston and NZ First believe they can keep trading in toxic conspiracy theory memes without any political penalty, but if the grandstanding reaches a threshold where Blue/Green voters leave National for TOP and TOP hit the 5% threshold, it’s all over for Winston.

And here’s the part no one in National wants to admit:

TOP could finally be the antidote that renders Winston meaningless.

I don’t know if the miners threatening Sam were NZFirst supporters, but I would put money on them being NZ First voters…

NZ First hate trolls are so radioactive they become the brand and that brand is ugly.

Look at this vileness..

…it is important this election that progressive voters screenshot NZ First hate trolls and name them as NZ First supporters online so that other voters can see what NZ First supporters hold in their hearts and recoil in disgust from NZ First.

If you vote National, it’s a vote for Winston and this malice.

NZ First have mutated into an alt-right culture war jamboree fuelled on gleeful ignorance and gauche inferiority complexes.

If NZ First leap frog the Greens as the third largest political party, it will influence the next Government.

That’s why it would be a strategic coup if TPM called on their members in the Māori Electorates to candidate vote TPM and Party vote Green.

Those extra TPM voters could well stave off NZ First.
