NZ alt-right have co-opted woke coven allegation weaponization against Chippy

Me Too was an important social moment of empowerment for those who had been abused.

Men didn’t fear a witch hunt (there were clearly monsters out there), what they feared was a witch trial, and that’s what it became.

In 2016 when the middle class activist base felt as confident as they now do hiding on Bluesky, their cancel culture Lynch mobs were acting with all the nuance of Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution.

The Holy woke Trinity of Dogma became:

• All white people are cross burning racists.
• B-E-L-I-E-V-E ALL WOMAN than all men are evil
• Anyone supporting Free Speech is a uniform wearing Nazi who hates the Trans Community.

The woke coven weaponised allegations with all the passion of white Karens asking to see the Manager.

Suddenly due process became a heteronormative white cis male privilege and anyone challenging an allegation were accused of supporting rape culture.

In this landscape, Chippy’s Ex isn’t a bitter divorced wife extracting a cruel and politically motivated character assassination online, oh no, she’s a strong wahine speaking her truth!

The toxicity of this victimhood as currency virtue signal helped define the wounded masculinity culture which backlashed with the election of Trump while driving vast numbers of young men into the arms of the reactionary incel right.

The damage of identity politics to the wider movement has pushed the woke off to Bluesky but the alt-Right have now jumped upon the allegation weaponisation and are using it to devastating effect.

The very same people behind the appalling smear on Benjamin Doyle are also the same ones promoting this terrible character assassination of Chippy.

Let’s remind everyone how despicable the allegations against Doyle were with blue squiggles supposedly pedophilic hieroglyphics which ‘proved’ not only were they abusing their child, but they were offering them up to others.

That disgusting smear, pushed by Right Wing Hate Trolls and Winston Peters, saw death threats against a child and the resignation of Doyle.

The NZ alt-right have co-opted woke coven allegation weaponization culture and are using it against Labour and the Greens.

Allegations have to be taken seriously, NOT BELIEVED – do you see the difference?

If the new evidential threshold is Salem Witch Trial level we all lose.

I’m a jaded and cynical bugger with a black splinter for a heart, but sweet Jesus watching Chippy choke up  while the media feeding frenzy descended on issues as personal and private as these was emotionally raw.
