1-on-1 in 10: Phil Goff on Trump, Netanyahu & the Iran War

*Phil Goff explains the Iran war and the collapse of the rules-based international order.*
This week on The Bradbury Group, former New Zealand Foreign Minister and former UK High Commissioner Phil Goff joins Martyn Bradbury for a special 1-on-1 in 10 interview analysing the escalating Iran war.
With the United States and Israel launching strikes against Iran, Goff warns the conflict risks repeating the catastrophic mistakes of Iraq and Libya. Drawing on his experience as Foreign Minister during the Iraq War, he explains why wars of regime change often create instability, terrorism, and long-term geopolitical chaos.
In this interview Phil Goff discusses:
• Why the Iran war could destabilise the entire Middle East
• The collapse of the international rules-based order
• Donald Trump’s foreign policy and the legacy of the Iraq invasion
• Netanyahu’s long campaign warning about Iran’s nuclear programme
• The risk of terrorism and regional blowback
• Global oil shocks and economic consequences
• Why New Zealand should speak out internationally
As global tensions escalate, the debate over international law, great-power politics, and the future of the Middle East becomes more urgent than ever.

The difference between Phil Goff and Winston as foreign ministers is simply “honesty” and Goff’s ability to explain clearly so we can all make sense of it however scary it may be. Phil Goff also worked 12+ hours each day so compare that with what Luxon gets away with. However it is time Winston stepped up and acted like a ‘real’ foreign minister and called out Israel/USA for their massive interference, narcissism, lies and bullying behaviour. Iran has no intention of letting them off the hook and so they shouldn’t. Iran is not a nice country but neither is Israel or the USA plus many more! Put it into perspective!
