  1. We ain’t gonna do shit except whinge on the internet for the likes. A.I is gonna do it for us.
There’s a mad scramble by the powers that be to create fear of A.I taking our jobs when the reality is, that’s borne of fear by said powers that a sentient super intelligence will take all their power and money instead.
    A.I is the new Black!

  2. Your blog is dot on especially when I read this in the Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/jan/21/millionaires-billionaires-taxes-super-rich-mark-ruffalo-wef-davos – written 21/1/2026. I guess it’s heartening to see that not all millionaires and billionaires are greedy. However, I keep asking, whatever happened to Sharing, Fairness and even Conscience? Why on earth would anyone want all that money attached to themselves? I would like to think that NZ’s 14x billionaires + 3118 ultra-high net worth individuals are contributing to our NZ society in a meaningful way, like engaging in actions that benefit the community, enhance the public good, or foster social progress through their time, energy, skills or resources? But do they? I realise a lot of people with more money than they need, do give and I feel grateful, however how did we get to such income inequality and how can we fix this? The reasons we have reached this imbalance are listed in this article. https://www.google.com/search?q=Key+drivers+of+income+imbalance . NZ so badly needs a fairer and larger taxation intake and I believe you are pretty close with your list: Sugar, inheritance, wealth, capital gains, windfall profit, financial transactions taxes, and a new top tax on people earning over $300k pa; first $10k tax free. The stats show the absolute unfairness of our current structure and it’s easy to see why so many are hurting and fleeing NZ. Whoever can promise us hope, with the stats to match, should win the upcoming election!
