  1. I’m afraid you have it wrong – waste to energy is much more tenable than landfills, and is used successfully in many counties. Waste plastic must be burned if not recycled, or it will enter the food chain as microplastics. High temperature burning obviates the risk of toxic byproducts. I would have expected Greenpeace to be better informed.

I think you are right Stuart ,on this they are wrong .Sweden is importing other countries rubbish to burn as it has two fold benefits of no land fills polluting the environment and also produces electricity .Modern filters and extreme heat take care 99% of stuff that would end up in land fill or polluting the environment .

      1. Seoul burns it too – a city of 15 million cannot afford to run large wasteful polluting landfills.
