What the hell is this?

There’s a friendship recession and it’s hurting NZ men

A news story on TVNZ that is slightly sympathetic to men?

WHAT THE HELL?

Since 2016 all men are evil and are the problem!

To suggest, as this TVNZ news story does, that men are human beings with complex emotional needs is outrageous!

Men are the problem, men are the enemy, men are toxic masculinity, men are patriarchy.

We must cancel men, denounce men, banish men and blame all of societies ills on men!

We gerrymandered sex assault laws in NZ to ensure men accused would be found guilty and called that justice!

Intersectionist Identity Politics always has everyone ‘weaker’ than males power wise which is an insanely limiting way of viewing humanity while erasing the male experience altogether.

 

Boys are different. They develop mentally and emotionally in their 20s. Their brains are wired for risk and adrenalin and violence. They need the guard rails of older males.

We should be showing boys more mercy, we should be prepared to put the extra time and resource to rescue, heal and forgive young men for their fuck ups, because if we don’t, we are creating a generation of unforgivable men and the carnage their shame will wrought.

That’s why reading any news story sympathetic of men feels so strange.

I’m waiting for a petition on Action Station calling on the Government to sack whichever TVNZ executive allowed a news story that was vaguely sympathetic to the male experience from ever being published in the first place!

Right on Martyn…..I have lived all my life in a low working class/crime area and I am seeing the rise of angry white boy crims…..they seem to be getting younger by the days….plus more skilled at their criminal activities too. Sad and scary stuff…they seem to have no roots to any decent family links either.

    A few years back a dating app made it a requirement that men verify their height.

    But women were not required to verify their age and weight!

    I read some stats just yesterday showing that since the 1980s the average number of “close friends” people had dropped from 3 to 2. But the real shocker is the biggest cohort are now people with NO close friends.

    Urbanisation is responsible for a lot of this. Also add catastrophic aging, no marriage, no children demographics to the mix. Many countries like Japan, South Korea, China, Germany are LITERALLY going extinct bc the cohort of females of child bearing age are too low. Unless they have 12 babies each?!

    When are these people going to wake up to the fact that making everyone into winners and losers is so bloody impractical. We have one world and we’ve all just got to get along. The world is grey and always has been.
