NZ Police flying over the Hutt valley to look for dope plants despite a referendum nearing. Seems they aren’t interested in burglaries. I see our current government has the same old priorities as the last one . Someone is talking with a forked tongue or is the Minister of Police Nash picking on easy beats since they can’t deal with the scourge of meth destroying our communities and bogging down our courts nor are they interested in who robbed your house.
Mataura is in Southland. This is in Southland too – it has been called strip mining by farmers without any sense of responsibility for the health of their land and environs. Northerners need to come down and see what is happening down there. They are getting away with really dirty business.

I think police should have to answer in Court when a chase leads to an accident, injuries or death. They may well be exonerated but they need to make a case for themselves in public. The stiff-necked unyielding answer to injuries from flights in cars, ‘They should have stopped when ordered’, is a cop-out.
