Comrades, it’s the end of the month and if we have made you laugh, made you think or made you challenge your own assumptions, then we could use your donation!
As Newshub just showed us all yesterday, the media market is hurting and TDB hurts alongside them!
Don’t contribute to us because you agree with us, contribute because you see the importance of having an independent voice in NZ media.
We are critical of the Right AND the Left.
If you value having an independent news voice and are in a position to contribute – please do so here.

Your comments are incredibly lop sided in favour of the left however I take much enjoyment from many of your regular commenters hilariously stupid views.Accordingly I shall see what I can do.
See if you can jump off a bridge? That’s be awesome and a great thing to do for all of us. You could take comfort from the fact that if you simply disappeared from here you’d be doing us all a favour.
I know just the bridge. It’s the one that allows them to get over themselves. I’d need to do some ‘research’ however to see just where it is though. It’ll be projecting forth from somewhere over a precipice.
The “willing to make bold infrastructure decisions” Labour govt scrapped your bridge after donating $51 million to consultants.
Dreadful shame that I had plans to jump off it.
Hay there countryboy – bob1st is always more humorous than you and sometimes that’s what we need aside from ranting and dirges no matter how heartfelt and correct they are. And Bob1st might be following the line of the fable about the Tortoise and the Hare. Who keeps on, unexpectedly wins. He as well as others can bore their way through to the Beehive; maybe even a wormhole may undermine that elaborately balanced edifice where tractors fail.
Well done you Greywarbler. Echo chambers are so last century.
Onwards with the wrongthink Bob the first.
Jumped off many a bridge,as a young boy,into the river.Railway bridges,less traffic.r
