Has Winston gone insane with his latest bizarre claims against Jacinda?

Ummm, has Winnie (and by extension every boomer redneck who voted for him) gone insane?

NZ First leader Winston Peters claims former PM Jacinda Ardern never told him of Christchurch terrorist’s email in bizarre post

NZ First leader Winston Peters has claimed Dame Jacinda Ardern never informed him the Christchurch terrorist sent his chilling manifesto to the Prime Minister’s Office in an email just minutes before the March 15 attack – despite it being widely reported by news mediaat the time and addressed in a press conference the next day.

In an astonishing post on social media, Peters tonight called on Ardern to give evidence at the ongoing coronial inquest into the terror attack to explain what he alleged was her “lack of transparency to the New Zealand public”.

Ummm. Winnie (and by extension every boomer redneck who voted for him) has gone insane. Everyone knew about this except Winnie apparently…

Peters, the deputy prime minister at the time, claimed this was the first occasion the public had learned the Prime Minister’s Office had received the email. However, on March 16, 2019, just a day after the attack which killed 51 people, Ardern confirmed in a press conference – reported globally – that her office had received the information in a generic inbox for the prime minister.

…is Winnie off his meds? His smear is so false that Twitter have had to point out how much of a lie it is.

When the cesspit of Twitter is correcting you, you know you have gone too far!

Winston is lying just like he lied about Harry Tam.

Winston isn’t even in Government yet and his lies are already attempting to re-write history.

It’s the sickest irony that Jacinda saved 20 000 lives with her bold Covid response, and most of those 20 000 were boomers and those same boomers then went on to vote NZ First.

How surprising that Boomers are ungrateful.

I am looking forward to the next 3 years of far right fuckwittery more than I thought possible when I see the carnage that their voters will have to desperately attempt to justify.

Their, ‘but-Jacinda-saved-us-from-a-mass-death-event-and-we-are-forever-bitter’, argument just won’t manage to justify what ACT/National and NZ First are about to cause.

I’m excited to watch NZ First, ACT and National voters slicing off their faces while screaming at us, ‘You made us do this’.

Good times. Fun times.

There must be some kind of way outta here

  1. Once the dinner plates have been cleared at 4.30 in the afternoon, he gets bored and disoriented and starts randomly tweeting. He meant to say Ardern never told him he was deputy PM

  2. The e-mail was sent to 70 other recipients, how many of them contacted the police? How many political offices where included? Will these details be revealed by the inquest?

    • Good question, to which I suspect we will get no answer.
I would just like to make it known that I was not one of the 70.

Or should I check my spam box?

  3. Is he forgetful or opportunistic?
    If opportunistic, this one backfired.

Within the context of the reporting of this in the media following the “revelation” at the coroner’s inquest one would have thought that the staffer at least were very negligent…… he took all of 120 seconds to make the decision to call 111!! Let’s be real.

    • JKT: I think even you your superb self would have looked at such a message in stark disbelief, after taking a while to read all his bullshit manifesto etc.. I seriously doubt that you your superb self would have dialled 111 within 2 minutes.

But maybe you have extra acumen?

  4. Winston’s revisionist attack on Jacinda Ardern should be slapped down in the strongest terms by the Govt. and NZ Labour and anyone else that does not support MAGA style tactics being employed in NZ.

The irony is that Mr Peters’ support base, and indeed some NZF candidates, include conspiracy fruitcakes who are…lets say…no friends of muslims or non white migrants.

  5. Its very sad to politicize this tragic event. If Luxon and co. think they can safely manage Winston Peters they can think again. Luxon must be crying in his budget cereals this morning at the thought of having to negotiate with Winston Peters. You have got to wonder what his motives are at this time of high anxiety for the families of the victims of the mosque tragedy. Doesn’t he realize he is giving publicity to the perpetrator of this crime and sending this message around the world at such a tenuous time in our history.

    • Yes Queeny, very sad. Also the fact that the PM-in-waiting has not seen fit to distance himself from the comments speaks volumes about his addiction to being in power. What’s the old adage ‘we must keep power away from those in love with it’.

  6. Winston has gone dog, it’s a regular thing for him.
What’s most disgraceful is he hasn’t blamed bad policy but he is insinuating Jacinda could have saved the lives of those lost. That is disgusting.

    • National are Squeaky Clean. There will be established protocols which swing into action in this type of horrendous occurrence, i.e. the PM receiving the terrorist’s manifesto, and Ardern’s office will have the receipts to show that they were followed. The deputy PM would be an obvious immediate recipient of such information, and of course, the appropriate security services. The coronial inquiry should be able to ascertain the facts.

      • I like your obvious optimism, Gentle Annie.
(I once had a washing machine with that name..)
        But..

Ardern received the message only 9 minutes before the mosque was attacked. Even if all had instantly understood and acted immediately, an Armed Offenders Squad would not have made it anywhere near in time to prevent what happened. The terrorist was no fool: he wanted publicity, but deliberately gave insufficient warning time.
As I remember, the terrorist was actually caught very quickly by normal policemen doing their job amazingly well.
9 minutes was too short a time to set up an Armed Offenders squad at the mosque, and they would have been struggling to get to Lynwood in time.
The excellent normal coppers who caught the crim would probably have been called out of there because the Armed Offenders were going in..
I would hope that nobody suggests that Jacinda could have prevented it all.
Martyn is right: all those GSCB style intelligence groups could have prevented it, but they were too busy studying the wrong people..

  7. He may mean that he and his colleagues were not informed of this at the time by the PM, who apparently informed the media about it at some later time. Many have not the time nor the inclination to follow the MSM.

  8. Think of me for a change? Imagine what it’s been like for me for all those years?
I’ve followed peters in that ” Oh, Jesus! Just fuck off would ya!” kind of way since the wine box inquiry.
I have a screen grab of him playing footsies with Bare Chest Brash outside that cafe, I’ve listened to peters talking shit while sounding like a whiny old Aunt who’s just missed out on the last cream bun at the wake because she was too busy gossiping. He’s a sneering old raisin, a well trained liar and as a result he’ll have a stack of money given him by his crooked confederates, while we don’t. He’s tough on Adern because Adern was popular. Useless but popular. She spent far too long being up close to tony blair and caught some kind of lie-virus off him, some kind of infectious big dewy eyed whimper-stoop to hide the fact that she was a flirt for power but got bogged down in the dodgy sludge that hides the fearsome monsters that’s our politics and our economy.
Winston Peters and Jacinda Adern do have one thing in common all said and done and that is that neither of them can be trusted.

  9. I think Winston is just pissed off because Jacinda never gave him a knighthood or ambassador to UK or US.
Poor degenerate numbnut. Those that voted for him must either be squirming in their old age nappies or grinning through their gums and dribble. Imagine those 6% pulling Luxons strings. He must be praying to his god that the special votes go against history.

    • I think you are correct Uncle Tom’s Brother, if it was such a big deal that Ardern didn’t inform Peters immediately, and he didn’t jump up and down at the time, yes – I bet he was keeping sweet for the old tap on the shoulder with the sword. Has a sort of ring to it – Sir Winston Peters. What a circus we have running this country.

      • Mama and Brother He couldn’t complain at the time if he didn’t know at the time. Labour now saying that the media knew is evasive, and is no answer.

  10. Martyn says the warning came “just minutes before the March 15 attack” which is a tad more accurate than RNZ’s “moments before”. But how many minutes was it? 15, 20, or more? Jacinda never told us, and it seems that she didn’t even tell her Deputy Prime Minister. We still don’t have a precise answer, but we can surmise that it would have given time for the New Zealand police to intervene so as to prevent a large proportion of the casualties.
There are many other questions to which Jacinda never gave answers. For example, if the perpetrator was tracked by intelligence services from the time of his jaunt to North Korea, why did the NZ Police give him a firearms license with no scrutiny? Why did they ignore the warnings about the perpetrator’s intentions to commit acts of violence?
The government has kept the truth about the Christchurch massacre very close to its chest. Peters is right to call them out.

    • He pressed send eight minutes before the first killing.
It was dealt with by the PM’s office six minutes after he sent it, two minutes before the first killing.
This was investigated by the Royal Commission of Inquiry, and all the material is on its website.

    • Which part of the government? You might be happy to live somewhere where the politicians are actively involved in the security services (think North Korea etc) but I prefer that we rely on competent public servants to make the operating decisions that are required. Obviously, the public service failed in this tragedy but the political side of the government would usually keep out of the security decisions for the good of all of us.

    • Call was made within 2 minutes of email being received… I’d classify that as ‘moment’s before (although in this headline they say minutes, not moments as you’ve claimed). Here’s an article with more info: https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/chch-terror/500961/christchurch-terror-attack-inquest-parliament-staffer-called-police-within-minutes-of-receiving-manifesto
Given Winston’s lack of judgement with his tweet, one can put 2 and 2 together to assume he was made aware, but I dare say not at that minute – priority would’ve been to contact police first. The Police commissioner would be the one to answer the questions about the firearms license too, why would a PM deal with something of the sort?

    • Stupid comment. We laughed at righties who had thought it clever to vote for Winston, but we were far from loving him.

Remember back in the 90s he said that a vote for him was a vote against National? Of course, he subsequently put National in power.

Well, it was your silly righties who were all angry afterwards in 2017, when they got the same as we had suffered. (Not that I ever voted for him at all.)

  11. Winston Peters is a nasty, vindictive, untrustworthy, selfish, conniving old toerag in every respect.

I’m a Boomer, having Boomer friends who absolutely love WP. They still vote for him because he “gave us” the Gold Card regardless of which party he decides to go with, for goodness sake! He’s cunning, could see a very big voting base and milked it (and the country) for all it’s worth!

I have never voted for him, nor will I ever do so, because as far as I’m concerned Peters isn’t worthy of a vote.

    • Well said Mary .I have had many an argument about the trustworthy nature of Peters with other people of my advanced years.
His smart appearance and smile wins with many who miss the shallowness of his party and history .Apart from the Gold Card what other runs has he on the board after 40 years.

    • Sounds like Brewers Millions film about a guy who doesn’t want to be a politician.  Here us a  clip with the mean old guy trying to upset democracy with all his money.   I think he doesn’t want to be elected and goes to a big bloc to get them onside – the retirees vote.   They are very understanding and can be bought.

This is interesting about Tennessee which crops up in news FTTT.
Why was Brewster’s Millions banned?Brewster’s Millions (1945) was banned in Memphis, Tennessee for having “too much social equality and racial mixture,” making it an unusual case where a film was banned for not being racist enough.

  12. I think he is trying to keep the fringe lunatics who voted for him, on his side before he sells them out. I wonder how they will feel, when they realize that he isn’t their voice in parliament

  13. I think its his plan to stay relevant and remind Luxon and Seymour that he doesn’t just go quietly into the night and will be an ongoing thorn in the proverbial entitled arrogant arse that this in coming government already look and feel like.

Ironically Peters is going to keep them honest …….but honesty has different connotations depending who thinks they are being honest and their own version of the truth.

Damn its going to be fun to watch for the next three years and its almost going to make up for the ball squeezing austerity and anti worker legislation coming our way.

  14. Winnie blurted in the most Winnie way possible. But still the Left brake on the ignoranti to the Right.

All your new story headlines are rather light but, otherwise, you’d not have nothing to sell your material on till the final results. Knowing the Utube Yank Leftists I rather don’t like this light sales in any way.

‘Vaush’ is salient though on the Yank Left. First minute and last 2 minutes if you have time constraints.

  15. Hello Lefties.
Ooops, someone dared to question your Saint Jacinda, she of Holier Than Transparent Thou status. Hahahaha…good ol’ Winston surely knows how to upset the drooling Blind Faith Disciples.
I’ll just leave it at Geoff’s comment: There are many other questions to which Jacinda never gave answers.
