Bank of New Zealand made an after-tax profit of $805 million in the six months to the end of March.

What about depopulated areas of the country that could offer houses and jobs to suitable people – take in our own refugees from rabid capitalism. The person would have to come on their own or with another suitable trainee worker. They would have passed a certain suitable preparatory polytechnic course, free. We would need some grant money here. Provided they could do the course that was supervised by people in the Work Trust or whatever, they would be offered a 6 month internship-apprenticeship.
If their family were up to scratch and wanted to join, not all would want to change and shift, they could come also. Local people would either be friendly and helpful though firm, or the area would not be accepted for hosting. We have misplaced people right here in River City or wherever, as the old song goes. Don’t let a gummint depot get hold of it. It needs to be run by real people locals and agreement made by both sides to respect the other. Or void it after a certain number of problems with return of the trainees free.
