Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

The name Ivor Watkins Dow comes to mind. I think they made some seriously bad chemical decades ago in New Plymouth. If Maori had jurisdiction over the foreshore what would their reaction be to this? And to the apparently deeply toxic site down at Tiwai Point of sludge (ourea?) from aluminium (that marvellous strong light stuff that I want for my ladder, but at what cost eventually?).

RNZ just thought you would like to know this; an important piece of world news (the on,ly?) reported in latest this morning?.

WTF goes on in the minds of these purveyors ofmedia news? Toxic mind-bending disgraces carefully gathered and sent to us for our interest or information, they think? Do they think – about what is happening today that we should, would like to know about. apart from violence, war and whether some celebrity did or said something – slipped on a banana skin?

Intelligent and practical advice from scientifically trained academics and practitioners is welcome. There is some good in science really! Now Mike Baker advises – look at covid figures – that it is wise to keep some checks against covid as people follow the lead that gummint sets.

Remember good advice is not like adopting a fashion – eg we will wear covid 19 masks and vaccs this season and next year it will be pink tshirts and half-pie shousers – one leg in shorts and the other calf-length. Calves how did they get in here?) Covid? Oh that was last month/year.

  4. Watch this fascinating! A bit like a slow-moving demolition derby, you know that damage will occur and watch and wait for when and how. Poor old Christchurch – when is it time to get the breaks down there.

Of course it was a bad decision and they should be doing a Down South region thing with Dunedin’s covered one for big events but someone is geting a percentage or salary for promoting a sports/ events stadium and that pot at the end of the rainbow is magnetic.

  6. Is this Open Mike time with two contenders?

Why not get a consensus up and not foist separate opinions? Baker is following the precautionary principle and the figures still going indicate the need for that to my simple mind.
