Visibly Upset New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern Resigns: ‘Not Enough in the Tank’

An emotional New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced Thursday she would not seek re-election and is resigning from office, noting—while choking back tears—that she no longer has the energy required to fill the role.

In a tearful address at the Labour Party summer caucus retreat in the New Zealand city of Napier, she said: “I decided to give myself a chance to really reflect if I had what was needed… I’d be doing a disservice to New Zealand if I continued,” she said of her decision, which she claimed she made over the past months…..

To the Left of her own caucus the Right in Labour and National will be breaking out the champagne today.

  1. In response to the covid pandemic the Prime Minister followed the science. And implemented the biggest government mandated restriction in the flow of profits since measures imposed by the first Labour Government to fight WWii.

The response from the Right was a visceral well funded campaign of hate and vitriol much of it personally targeting the Prime Minister, by those who value private profit taking over public health.

    • Pat, such a confused statement. Full of double speak. We’ll never forget you taking the side of big pharma (profit taking) over the people. Does the ‘speed of science’ mean anything to you? Coercion is not consent.

  2. Luxon will be at home this weekend in one of his 7 houses deeply reviling in the situation. It is a holy sign. A holy sign from the Lord Jesus.
    God help us.

Pat who is on the left in the NZLP anymore ? Please enlighten us and provide some individuals.

You probably haven’t noticed but nowhere in all the commentary and reporting on this resignation is there any reference to the huge underclass who Adern and her colleagues solicited votes from with the promise of transformation.

Yes we have had muslins slaughtered , Volcanic eruption and a pandemic. But the crises that Adern and her colleagues promised action on before and since those events has not been carried out !

Why not Pat ? Is it because of the haters ?

Or is it because transformation actually means taking on the powerful and elite who control this country despite a pandemic and other distractions.
